Bedi Saab's letter to Ajit - transcribed

The makers really want us to do the mehnat of reading that long letter on our own rather than showing a proper voiceover of what Bedi Saab wrote to Ajit😆.....so I figured I'd do the honors for now cuz it's a lovely letter.

Bedi Saab said so much more in that letter than what was shown in the brief voiceover in the scene.....wonder why the makers feel more time needs to be spent on Swaran's sons shouting on her rather than showing a letter where Bedi Saab is speaking of Ajit's love for Swaran😆.

Anyways, here is the letter transcribed:

"Duniyadaari ke ilaava baaki har cheez ki samajh hai meri Swaran ko....bas isliye darta hoon main. Isliye darta hoon main kyunki main usse bahut pyar karta hoon. Isliye darta hoon kyunki fikar hai mujhe. Mujhe lagta hai yeh chitthi padhne se pehle aap mere teeno beton se mil chuke honge aur unse milke aap ko yeh bhi samajh aa gaya hoga ki unhein shaayad bete kehlaane ka bhi haq nahin hai. Mere phool chunne se pehle shaayad woh meri chhodi hui cheezein chunne ki baat kar rahe honge.

Kayi baar sochta hoon kaash Swaran Ludo ki jagah Shatranj champion hoti - saamne waale ki chaal toh samajhti. Uske apne bete mohre chal rahe the aur woh rishte nibhaati reh gayi. Aap soch rahe honge - uff kitne dialogue maarta hai yeh Kanwal, hai na?😆 Lekin Ajit ji, yeh dialogue mujhe zindagi ne hi, zindagi se bhi zyada mere beton ne hi sikhaaye hain. Lekin agar aapko lagta hai ki mere bete badal gaye hain, toh phir aapko jaisa theek lagta hai, aap keejiyega. Bas apne aap se ek sawaal zaroor puchhiyega - ki kya Kanwaljit Bedi ke bete kaabil-e-yakeen hain? Kya un teeno beton pe bharosa keeya jaa sakta hai? Kya woh teeno meri Swaran aur uske Swaran ghar ka khayaal rakhenge? Nahin Ajit ji, woh teeno khudgarz aur maukaparast hain. Swaran ko emotional karke usko gol gol ghumaayenge, istemaal karenge uska sirf apne faayde ke liye aur Swaran ko pata bhi nahin chalega. Kyunki woh bechaari sirf dil se sochti hai. Aisi hai meri Swaran.

Mujhe aap pe pura yakeen hai, Ajit ji. Sirf aap par - kyunki agar kisi ne Swaran ko kabhi mere jitna pyar kiya hai, toh woh bas aap hain. Kyunki agar kisi ko Swaran ki mere jitni fikar hai, toh woh bas aap hain. Kyunki agar koi Swaran ka mere jitna khayaal rakh sakta hai, toh woh bas aap hain, Ajit ji."

Swaran ko aapki zaroorat hai, Ajit ji. Use mehfooz rakhiyega, bachaake rakhiyega is matlabi duniya se aur usse bhi zyada humaare teeno beton se. Agar aapko lagta hai main galat keh raha hoon toh please ek baat yaad rakhiyega ki Swaran sadak pe aa jaayegi - kuch nahin bachega uske paas. Meri request maan leejiye Ajit ji. Please haan bol deejiye. Please."

I like the utilization of the hand written letters that are being showcased so far also. It is decently executed & enacted so far. The wording of describing Swaran's behavior as to being gullible rather than easily deciphering the sons' cunning attitude from Swaran's husband to Ajit was aptly described.

Thanks for sharing the photos of the letters from the episode.

Will admit, the demeanor of the sons was already anticipated so definitely, as a viewer, seem less riveted in that track as opposed the dynamics of Ajit's dynamics towards Swaran & that too via Kanwaljit's letters.

I just wonder, does Ajit require more substantial observation before shouldering such a responsibility or what might be anticipated?

Handwritten letters are so beautifully woven in the show ❤️

It took me back to the 80s and 90s when most common and cheapest mode of communication was letters

See this is not fair to those of us lime me who cannot read hi di..this is such an important piece of info ..bedi saab in detail talking about his nikamme sons and are important to the plot poi t that he understood them to the core the part about rhey will be fighting over the goodies .. so apt..or thay sorf you will understand my poi r as youa re the only other one who has loved her so selflessly man..it speaks so highly about Mr bedi ke judgements that is such an important plot point but they have missed it in the eopi In the VO..why @sargun..

Man the whole fikar pyar khyal bit has my heary sach hi hai ...and bedi saab itna gracefully admitting that hai without any ego ya woh meri biwi hai now again how often do we get to see that bhai agar poora nahi bhi oadhan tha toh thay para is important.

And again bedi saab was so on post with hsi swaran ko ghumaya jaayega and she won't even realize it that happened right on cue and she did got carried away worh the precap by letting them take center stage at tehrvi and thinking they arw genuinly apologetic 🤣

Hellooo Myrah ji! We meet again....in hopefully a non toxic forum for now😆.

The moment they started the letters wala trope in the story, I was SOLD❤️😆.....usse pehle bhi I was liking the epis but when letters showed up, I was like ZOMG pen pals....just my kind of old school stuff😆.

Anyways on topic vis a vis this letter from Bedi Saab - I think it's understandable that Ajit is still processing a lot...he has seen the sons misbehaving with Swaran but he still doesn't want to believe that bete apni Maa ke saath itne neech ho sakte hain.....so it will take him some time to reach that conclusion on his own. He's still technically an outsider, reconnecting with Swaran and her world after so long - 30 years apart where he hasn't witnessed what all has changed in her life - three grown sons that he has no real background on....toh time toh lagega process karne mein.

He is not one to shy from responsibility and his love for Swaran is a FIERCE one....but it will take him some time to own that responsibility to that extent I think cuz Bedi Saab has added that financial guardianship to the mix....lol anyone will feel awkward about taking over the reigns of someone else's finances like this.

The demeanor of the sons is pathetic but what saves those scenes is Sangita's SUPERB acting....she's playing every shade of Swaran so beautifully....the mix of shock and fragility in her right now as every moment seems to bring new shocks for her.

Btw I prefer calling him Bedi Saab....lol there is such affection in the term from whoever uses it for him😆

Word. Nothing can beat the magic of handwritten letters. And I must add that they've maintained the voice of each character in writing out the letters - you can practically hear the voice in your head as you're reading a letter from that specific person - whether it is Ajit's letters or those of Bedi Saab.....the conversational style just flows through the letters also as if they are talking aamne saamne.

Haha you are quite welcome, Fary ji😆.....maine socha itni lambi chitthi transcribe kar rahe hain toh thread hi banaa lete hain😛.....I should probably add the Ajit letters somewhere in here too😆.....it adds so much more form to the characterizations. If they keep the letters ongoing toh regular thread banaa lenge😆

I don't think they are trying to shortchange those who can't read Hindi....lol no one will be able to read a letter this fast on TV also even if they know Hindi....lol and pause karke read karne waale toh hum online viewers hi hain. I guess it might have been an editing issue....they didn't have enough time to fit both Bedi saab ka full letter voiceover as well as Nalaayak beton ka gullak drama in the epi so Bedi saab bechaare ho gaye sacrifice😆

The CLASS and maturity with which they've shown both Bedi Saab and Ajit's love for Swaran, the accepting of each other's love for Swaran....it's beautiful and rare❤️. What irony in Swaran's life - she has three grown sons who are too selfish to love her....but she has the love of two wonderful men who have genuinely loved her selflessly at different phases of her life.

Oh one of my fav. parts from this letter is Bedi Saab lamenting ki kaash Swaran ludo ki bajaaye CHESS champion hoti😆.....you can just feel the pyar waali frustration in that vis a vis Swaran ki naivete😆

😆 oh yes that is another awesome punch frommbedi saab..Sach main kaash swaran logon ki challein padhna jaantinhoti toh aaj iss haal main nahi hoti .bedi saab ka sass was on point in this hit and kitne comfortably he did the shikayat toh ajit apna samjh ke

It said, "Main apni will mein ek aur naam bhi shaamil kar raha hoon - Ajit Lamba. Ajit ji, I'm sorry par aapko sirf ek hi cheez dekar jaa raha hoon main - ek bahut badi zimmedaari. Is will ke sole guardian Ajit Lamba hain"

🤣 bedi saab ka ek aur several ke bas aur kuch nahi apne nikkame beton pe naAr rkahne ka kaam deke jaa raha hoon..Sach main very tough job hai🤣
