1. Bcz that deal was one of the reasons why priya said yes. She didn't wanted to have any "LOVE" in her marriage. She wanted a practical relationship. And by going back on his words now when in his view priya is not reciprocating his feelings, it can backfire and make things awkward between them. Then the BFF wala tag will also not work anymore. So he is trying to gauge the extend priya's feelings for their marriage before he suggests a loving marriage.

The other two points are beyond my comprehension too🤦
