Weirdly I am ok with him being a stubborn mule -

1. He has understood Imlie correctly…she needs a relationship to ground her else she is ready to self destruct. Case in point yesterday and today when AKT is taunting her and Aryan was taunting back…the old Imlie would have thrown her lot in with the T and stood up for them against him…the old Imlie would have never been quiet on listening that the house belongs to Imlie…but yesterday she was quiet…and did not bring it up as well. Fake or real…now Imlie reapects this relationship with Aryan and will not take any stand against him in public.

2. His fears of her getting stuck with T clan are valid…in the two marriages of AKT that Imlie was part off…she was not taunting Malini or staking her claim publicly…here despite marriage functions being conducted by T’s on their request…AKT is publicly taunting and staking claim. If Aryan backs out…with constant hammering from AKT and his family…she will again go down the same path.

the thing is that this girl is not asking the right question…she starts with Dhoka jaap…clamming him up. If she says that she wants time for herself…she wants to explore opportunities which the first forced marrriage took away…this guy with back off in a second. He is the protective Mama Bear as Imlie cub has displayed immense stupidity in the past…

Everything, including Arylie's wishes succeeding, Meethi's words affecting Aryan, and Aryan asking Imlie to "tum kamzor mat padna", point to a consensual/convenient marriage. I don't see Aryan consumed by "challenges" or whatever.

He does want to get married to her, but he also wants her fight the heck back for herself and not the Ts.

If anything, he wants her to stop thinking about the Ts and priortise herself. "Tum sirf dusron ki respect karti ho aur mein sabse pehle khud ki respect karta hoon."

THIS IS THE CRUX OF THE MATTER.

I think Aryan has thrown people off. They see the re-traumatisation of Imlie with the idea of a forced marriage. They understand that Aryan is trying to teach a life lesson to Imlie.... But I think this may not be the most appropriate way.

Imlie lack self respect and struggles with putting her herself above others. Yes Aryan wants her to realise this but by putting his revenge above her (in her eyes) he is worsening this thought process.

Oh man this is a web made by the creatives in which they them selves are stuck and now trying to get out. And now we are stuck too.

No relationship works like that - I am not saying that you need to explain every action but if the other person is misunderstanding you then you do need to give an explanation. There is a difference is justification and explanation.

Agree he needs to give explanation, but as you say his goal is big..

1st goal to bring a boundary between and and Tripathi's which imlie is unable to draw long after the divorce as well

2nd goal is to get her out out naukarani mindset in the name of love for family (which is not even her own family)

3rd goal to get her to focus on her education and career - basically herself.

He doesn't want the shadi for the relationship between them, so he doesn't bother to clear the MU.

While for imlie shadi is about relationship and she wants to clear the MU.

That's the basic conflict in this track, so far that I can deduce

Ideally imlie needs a rehab after all the emotional abuse but ITv cures all problems with ghar ke nuskhe and love...

So the narrative is Aryan pushing her pushing her pushing her mentally continuously to the point she starts pushing back and responding with the learnings.

Literally this. She flows with superficial labels. The abusive/grooming Aparna can become her ultimate trigger to do the stupidest thing ever because she called her beti. She will decide to ratify a one-sided marriage cladestinely because of some dialogue on patni dharma. This girl has a destructive self-sacrificial nature, and Aryan is trying to correct it. Is he being absolutely an idiot about it? Yes. But does he have a good read of Imlie. Also a big yes.

She herself said "Aryan Singh Rathore ki patni ke liye ee badi rakam nahi hai" to Aunty Blue on Holi.

Her issue isn't really the marriage but not knowing why the hell he's doing it. She needs it to be about her and not the badla.

sundari! I love your crystal clear thinking. Thanks that makes more sense. You are correct - Imlie should have seen a therapist and undergone trauma counselling.

If ITV is trying to do the whole make Arpita face her fear kinda of desensitisation then this somewhat adds up - he is goading her and pushing her into a corner to change and think about herself because he has tried all other methods.

But again he is slowly falling for her. He may not want a relationship with her consciously but he does want it subconsciously.

Also he cannot just say - you are married now go concentrate on your career and studies when he himself is so invested in her. He also knows Imlie would want closure.

As you said - turn logic off and watch for entertainment. But that is SOOOO hard!

I guess we have to see what cvs have planned huh..

Today CVS given a hint. On lattern scene, she was so angry with him inside and also very equally tensed about lattern. She found the huge open hole and she itself fixed it. She mocked Aru for coming inside bedroom but she obligated to give in when he demanded his husband rights on her..she allowed him to remove the jewellery.. everything about her brain and heart is Aryan. She is so mad he is winning all the challenges and that's scare her. She also seeing how entire families was so happy. She also keeping quite on public, making sure not to let down Aryan. Whatever may between them but still they lighted the lattern and send together. there maybe big bumps on road but they'll pass through it. The way Aru behaving I don't think entire misunderstanding will be cleared, maybe little and As usual she may think of everyone happiness and get married..they can't run the show without marrying them because story needs to move on. What is the point of marriage track for an month if it don't happen.

We both are married so we very much know how things will work for them. They started it now and it's a journey together.

Exactly. He has pushed her to the limit to the point where she's willing to trash him — as he rightly deserves. Her questions no longer involve the Ts. They all circle around him and herself. Which is a progress.

If you remember Atif's quote from the wedding, she will get some semblance of clarity wrt Aryan's intentions and feelings.
