I liked the episode but I still feel like we are stuck at the same. Imlie wants Aru to explain and Aru does not want to defend himself but wants her to know herself. Even in their intoxicated state, they are the same no pretenses. The rang application was very tastefully done. The shot was aesthetic, the song choice, the lighting everything was beautiful. That moment felt very deep rather than coming off as too sensual which I guess suits the present plotline more since these two gadhas are clearly not aware of their feelings. That one tear from imlie was a nice touch but it soured my mood because there was no monologue after that. We definitely needed a monologue from both the sides about what they felt during holi and in the aftermath. Jumping straight to mehendi has no purpose. I needed the characters to go somewhere before Mehendi. Maybe if they showed Imlie contemplating his words about dhokha and feeling confused about how to feel. Maybe a peek into her thoughts about how she felt about being colored by him. She felt betrayed yes but not disgusted. She liked the closeness but she is angry at not being able discern the reason behind his actions.
I would have loved to see Aran contemplating his emotions and maybe accept to himself that it is not just about protecting her anymore. It may not be love but there is something more than friendship, partnership here. Makers should have given us a peek in his thoughts about what he thought of Imlie's words like how do I read your eyes of you keep closing them. He should also be thinking about how he got those burns. Somebody is trying harn imlie physically. We should have had a scene where is angry and planning to find out who is behind this so he can put them in their place. BM is supper annoying.
Them fast forwarding to Mehendi just does not sit right with me because its like the Holi exchange meant nothing to both character. Imlie trying her best to not get Mehendi Rasam done and Aru taking it as a challenge. There should have been a slight progress in their characters after Holi especially since they are shown remembering every moment. Kuch to alag hona chahiye tha Aru aur Imlie dono me after that Holi but it's like our characters are just stuck at this one spot. Aru will most likely get Imlie's Mehendi done while sleeping.
I have no clue how the makers will make it a consensual, willing marriage from this point especially when the character are not moving anywhere. Let's see what happens in Mehendi. While I love Meethi and her genuine hapoiness during the functions, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth at the fact that technically she is being deceived. I really wished Aru would have accepted to himself that he loves Imlie and had told meethi about his plan. Also really missing Satyakaam here. Your shagun ka sikka is getting married, where are you Dadda. Maybe he has a role later in this wedding. A major one. He comes for wedding and before the wedding he has a chat with Aru where he shares his dreams for Imlie with him which makes Aru realise that someone apart from him loves and wants to protect Imlie the same way from Ts and wants to see her soar career wise. Maybe it cements Aru to back off from the wedding and not force Imlie.
On the other hand when Dadda meets Imlie he tells her that he sees in Aryan's feeling for Imlie a reflection of his own fewlings for Meethi. He tells her that Aru may not be good at expressing his feelings in words when it comes to feelings like love and care because he has spent so much time suppressing them after losing his jiju but his actions speak a thousand words. He tells that just like he loves meethi unconditionally, he can see Aru's love for Imlie. I hope he says "Aryan tumse itna pyaar karta hai ki wo tumhaare liye tumhi se lad lega. Tumhaari khushi ke liye wo sab kuch kar dega chaahe uske liye tum usse nafrat hi kyun na karo. Wo saari chot kha lega tumhaare liye par kabhi tumhe girne ya tootne nahi dega".
Maybe then this might become a marzi waali shaadi warna to koi umeed nahi hai.
