Actually I did. He saw the Arohi - Abhimanyu engagement wala episode and said thank God you didn't dance like that. I'd have lost it completely. 🤣 (I have two left feet and my voice is as besura as it can get)

I wish it was as simple as just intercaste. My brother is not into these caste issues. TBH, this generation of both sides of the families are not.

A lot of tamasha happened during our brief break-up. He tried to move on, I tried to move on, we couldn't. Just...a downward spiral. My dad not being there - my brother got overprotective. More like a territorial fight. 😆 They don't yell or pick fights. More of a cold war.

Cute - I don't know. All I can say is falling in love is so bloody easy in comparison to standing by that love. Never realized how tough until life put us through the wringer. But I will also say that that was the phase that brought us close. Not the dates or long drives or the sneaking out to meet things. It was as we fought to be together.

If I could show him one episode - actually it would be two episodes. 26th Nov and 27th Dec.

One is the day she walks away from him and he, in his helplessness, lashes out. And the other is the Christmas party where they try to stay away from each other but are unable to.

The why of it is self-explanatory, I think.

We are hijacking borntorule12's post and thread. She is going to kick us out.

Honestly, I think that's a better reason to be on opposing ends. Your brother's doing it out of care and I'd probably be a little vary too. People pick sides in a breakup, and if you're not friends with both parties, then the picking becomes easier and more extreme.

You're in a really tough spot - stuck between two people who you love so dearly. Personally, for me, the cold war hurts more than a verbal argument or a physical fight. My loved ones often put me in a similar position and it sucks like hell.

Have you ever brought up the break-up in your more recent fights? I imagine some things are hard to forget or overcome easily. I mean, Abhi can't let go of the insecurities he got because of their break-up so I imagine a similar situation. I'm so sorry if I'm getting too personal. Please tell me to shut up or feel free to ignore me if I'm crossing boundaries.

I've never been in love but my experience of loving my friends and family has thought me that it is conflict and tashan and vulnerability that foster intimacy. Good moments might be what brought me into my relationships, but it is those moments of deep understanding from the conflict that gives me a reason to stay and work through our problems. Though those fun moments, in your case sneaking out and dates, sound beautiful too.

I see a piece of my own story minus OTT drama.

My gran said wife should be the HAPPY PLACE for a husband.

In the serial abhi gets really calm in front of akshu which is the sign of a true relationship.

It's not the disagreements or arguments but the willingness to persist and live with EO forms the crux of their story.

He was my senior in college. Mostly hi / hello interactions until the first time I heard him sing. No going back for me after that. I was / am a typical tomboy. He once saw me roughen up one of my classmates - a guy who passed some crude comment. He says there was no going back for him after that. 😆

Intercaste issues. Neither family accepted. Huge mess after which we decided to separate. He tried to move on, marriage alliances etc while I focused on my internship and PG entrance prep. But at the end of the day, he couldn't go ahead. And frankly, neither could I. We fought a lot during that phase - unable to let go, unable to hold on.

His cousins and mine intervened and convinced the families. Got married but parents weren't comfortable. His parents and my mom (lost my dad some time back) so it was an uneasy truce. To this day, my brother and my husband can't stand each other and I'm stuck playing the refree.
