I don't think I've heard Richard Marx but George Michael yes. I actually prefer older music but more 60s, 70s. Right now I'm really into blues and soul. Great beats, civil rights and feminist lyrics - it's the bomb!

Ed Sheeran I find a bit overrated but he does have a way with melodies. Taylor Swift, also a bit overrated but she knows how to get the beat right! I like 'Bad Blood' and 'Shake it off'. I don't like the songs where she trashes her exes but I find it kind of funny that she sublimates her relationship angst that way🤣

I went through a bunch of Saadat Hasan Manto's stories last year (English translations) - they were powerful but very bleak.
