Yes! he is bringing the resentment factor. There is an age difference and family background that plays a major role also. Virat tried to be patient for an year and half but at the end of the day he is also a 28-29 year old young man who is afraid of heartbreak. That aspect is well brought out.
And yesterday, we can see his hurt runs very deep. Imagine being in his situation. He supressed his feelings, been loyal to her in his heart and mind, tried his best not to force her in any way...He will be pushed to self pity mode too. It is normal. And hurt because he was accused of the opposite! By all the family members. I can feel his pain.
People argue how Sai's pain was ignored. I say this...Sai has also undergone so much pain due to her misunderstanding no doubt but at the end of it all, she found 'relief' and 'peace'. For Virat, he lived through the same pain and the additional burden of protecting two lives. He did not get time to wallow in his pain like Sai did. And at the end of it, he did' not get either 'relief' or 'peace' because he was the one who was misunderstood.
I cannot put it in a better way. Sai is happy not because she loves him or she is a doormat! It is because she found 'peace'. Virat is not arrogant or acting pricey, rather he did not find the closure yet. 😭
Very well put . I agree being in Virat’s position is not easy . People say he was the one who made people suspect him but they forget Virat had shared everything with his family and wife except Sada’s name . He tried explaining them but everyone refused to believe him and accused him . It hurts when you are blamed for things you never did . It’s been even a week of truth coming out and people expect him to forgive these people . He needs time to heal . Why is he obligated to forgive them the moment they realize their folly .

Was this the first time his wife questioned his character? She has done it multiple times with Pakhi and with Shruthi . Why should he not get upset ? When Virat questioned Sai once about her relationship with Ajinkya she was upset and took her time to forgive him .
