Very well put. Even I become overly defensive for Abhi but mostly because poor guy gets bombarded with hate which is not always necessary...

I'd like to add that Arohi and Abhi are not the only problematic characters here. Akshara behen is no saint either. She also let Abhi be in the dark and watched him wreck himself just because she wanted to please her sister.

Aur haan Abhi hain problematic but he has redemption qualities. He is not afraid of owning up to his mistakes. For example, he did ask Akshara for forgiveness.

Whereas, Arohi does not admit her mistakes. She puts all her mistakes in a bucket and dumps the bucket on Akshara. Also, arohi has made decisions which have been the root of most issues that have happened whereas Abhi has been a victim to the whole drama. So of course I would blame Arohi as she created the entire mess.

Thats the difference I see between the two which is why I rate Abhi better than Arohi.

Because no one wants to talk about her cause rn she's on Abhi's side (finally reciprocated his love in front of everyone - took you long enough hun) and she's Kaira's daughter and Naksh's granddaughter so this is (conceptually) her story. She also let Abhi be in the dark and watched him wreck himself just because she wanted to please her sister. She thought she was making the right call for her sister's happiness but really, how would letting your sister live in a loveless, respectless marriage be good for her. Aarohi set herself up to fail (built a life on lies) and Akshara just made it easier for her.

No one, including the show writers, wants to talk about the other characters like Harsh, Anand and his narcissistic behaviour, Mahima, Kairav who has so much trauma of his own that should be unravelled.

Well I believe that it's natural..no...it's not natural but it's human tendency to shift the blame for their mistakes on others. That's how everyone tries to justify their misbehavior in their minds and to others.

So it's the same for the people who we love / appreciate , for any xyz reason . Same for people who we hate / dislike. We try to justify our emotions ..incase of itv, neutral is someone who doesn't like the leads 😆 And is watching only for timepass , and will quit easily bec come on..if we don't like "anything " how can we watch it for so long . Kuch toh acha lagta hi hoga. We can't take their opinion seriously.

On IF I have seen cases like , if I defend a character the other person wants to know who I like so that they can bash him/her and try to hurt me/ call me out ... Seriously..its so kiddish.

Why someone tries to justify abhi when aaru exhibits the same traits. Why someone blames aaru when abhi did the same mistakes. Well. Everything is an opinion . There is no reason /justification to like someone and not like someone. It's related to our chemistry. It's what the writer is aiming for..to create a conflict in our mind and then we have something to talk about ..or give it a thought . That's why we find something boring and other things interesting . Zyada boring ho gaya mera lecture ?🤭

Why hurt others feelings ? Intolerance to others opinion is difficult to deal with .

honestly speaking once I like a character too much , I can go to any lengths to justify them. I guess that's the case with others too. No matter how much they butcher them, I keep trying to see the good in them. Opposite is also true . When I dislike someone , nobody and nothing can make me like him/her 😆I am kind of an extreme person n my choices r also extreme.. Bad is also ok if I like it ..good is not ok if I don't like it. I admit it ..its my weakness.

For example there r many who will critique akshu..she means good to everyone n her intentions are always clean..but her sacrificing nature trips me over....manjari is the same but she is criticized heavily for for same traits like akshu ..coz manjari is not the main lead 😆 abhi is the main lead so he gets a lot of leeway. Aaru doesn't. We expect the main leads to be the hero and heroine.. to be better than the rest , always having scope of redemption and always apologize if they falter.

Arohi is a human and has reasons for the way she behaves. There are always 2 sides to a story. These Haters should firstly see Arohis part of the story before judging her. Ps Arohi is a psycho khooni or something she is still recovering from the trauma of seeing her mother die in front of her 💔

I respect that honesty though and I'm trying to recognize and move past my biases as well so it seems like we're on a similar journey.

Finally I am here to comment on your post. I saw today's episode and I think she did nothing atleast today to hate her. Infact she went and shared her inner feelings with her sister. Akshara gave Abhi benefit of doubt which is good. But still see lot of negative comments on her for today's episode too. So I have realized people will hate Aarohi no matter what. Similarly people who hate Abhimanyu will hate him even if he does good. We can discuss big essays but very few people will change their opinion. But atleast good we are bringing this topics. I love healthy debates and not any fights or being rude to each other. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so I respect people who do not want to change their opinion too. We are no one to judge them either.

It's a very strong bias. I will forgive abhi easily the moment he is sorry , the moment he redeems himself and I have this hope forever that abhimanyu can change for good...but aaru will have to make a lot of effort.. 😆Even if she transforms herself into devi ka avtar , I will still have doubts on her ke either she is pretending or go bk to her old ways . It's not about good or bad actually.

I was watching the last 10-15 epis back to back and I found aaru to be perfectly fine..like she is coping up with her pain. She is happy for akshu yet she can't stop herself from being a spoilt sport..show her jealousy ..I liked her . If I cut off the past from the present , I like the 3 of them equally . I just don't care now

I have been mostly a silent member of this forum and these are my observations so far.

Aarohi is hated by quite a lot of people. First and foremost reason, she's Sirat's daughter, not Kaira's daughter. Secondly, she's rude, arrogant, selfish, mentally tortured Akshara since childhood.

Abhimanyu was liked initially but later when he became an obsessed lover, people started hating him.

Today, this forum is divided among two groups. Hardcore Abhimanyu haters who think he is the worst human being ever, who will never accept the fact that there are certain good qualities in him too and who will only try to find faults in him no matter what he does. This category will support anyone that goes against Abhimanyu or hurts him. When Akshara used to reject Abhi, they supported her. When she accepted Abhi's love they started disliking her because she stopped hurting Abhimanyu. Now they're supporting Aarohi because she wants to break Abhira marriage which will lead to Abhimanyu's heartbreak again. They're defending Harsh because Abhimanyu is rude with him but they're conveniently ignoring the fact that Harsh too is rude with him.

On the other side, there are Abhimanyu and Abhira fans and Aarohi haters. They agree Abhimanyu has made lot of mistakes but they're looking at his positive side too. They blame Akshara for her stupid sacrifice, Aarohi for manipulating Akshara to sacrifice her love and believe Aarohi was responsible for all the problems and her selfishness led to Abhimanyu being hyper with everyone.

There are very few people who are actually neutral and look at the characters as having both positive and negative traits. The fact is all the characters in this show are imperfect. No one is completely positive nor completely negative. Neither Abhimanyu is a completely positive character nor Aarohi a completely negative character. Both of them are flawed characters but I guess this Abhimanyu vs Aarohi debate will keep going on and frankly speaking this debate should have been more interesting but sadly, people start arguing and fighting.

Similarly abhi's character also predecided abhi or hc can not control that 😄 my only point is if we can accept arohi with all the flaws why cant we accept abhi with his flaws. He should also get a chance to redeem. Even i used to be like abhi in my childhood where i used to get angry for small things but as time passed i realized i am just hurting myself and others in that process and now i am funny girl who rarerly gets angry if people would have disowned me for my immature traits then i would not be here.Everyone deserves a chance be it real life or reel life. We should also try to give chance to characters than judging their actions 🙂

Absolutely! Actually the fact that these two characters have so many haters prove these characters are very interesting. 😆 I totally agree we can't change anyone's opinions. People who hate Aarohi and Abhimanyu will hate them no matter how much good they do. As long as the debate is healthy, it's all good to discuss these two characters but most of the time the debate is never healthy.
