Why do both SNS2 and TMSR not have the essence of SNS1?

Both the shows do not meet upto the gharelu dramas that SNS1 used to provide. sns1 didnot have a total negative character but had grey shaded characters like Kokila Rashi Urmila and kinjal. And they were not evil people but cunning ones.

I feel both the shows fail to match the level of entertainment SNS1 used to provide.(in beginning)
