I think this Badi mami and Gudiya will accidentally or on purpose insult not just Imlie, but Arpita for being a widow and Narmada for not getting her married again. And before Aryan can give them a befitting reply, Imlie gives one of her famous imlie moments/lectures/funny scenes.

So we know that Narmada and Arpita won't be anti-Imlie ever during this whole bit, even though this badi-mami is so mean. what I can't wait for is when Aditya tries to taunt Aryan by saying, "oh do you not want me to be alone with your wife?"

and aryan replies, "I don't give a damn. Unlike you, I have complete trust in Imlie."

and imlie hears this and we finally get a reprise of female Jaaniya

Hi all a lurker here…usually I don’t comment and am happy reading but today was triggered enough to write…I am ok with the new villains as show ko masala bhi chaiye…happily ever after karke khatam toh nahi kar sakte so antagonist is required. But what triggered me was that the entire T family was involved in setting up this proposal… ek ne bhi nahi kaha ki bro she has gone through a lot…give her time…woo her back…sort out your affairs with Malani… nope ek dum se let us have a public proposal where the other person is pressured into saying yes. And in the precap the expressions of the T family - I get it people are shocked ki yeh kab hua…but those people had a look of “oh no! Ab hum kya karenge”… just pathetic

it's MY favorite trope from indian shows, when the ML isn't sure he's in love with the FL (or he is but he won't admit it) but he is proud as hell to say her full name over and over again.

it does bother me a little bit as a feminist, because it connotes some sort of ownership on the part of the ML, but I believe the writers are going to let Aryan give a speech that's along the lines of, "Yea she may be Imlie Aryan Singh Rathore, but she will always be Imlie from Pagdandia, no one can change that and no one should."

you are so right, the Tripathis are enablers, nothing else. I was so disappointed in the writing for Nishant, Rupi, and Sundar. Just a couple weeks ago Sundar was asking Imlie, why the hell are you back here. And today this dumbass is helping someone who's already married propose to Imlie. Even though he KNOWS that Imlie clearly doesn't do shit for Adi, but only for the family. ughhhh i hate the tripathis. I really hope MC comes back and un-alives the whole lot of them as her revenge.

Ek toh imlie is a complete doormat when it comes to toxic tripathis. And second she becomes a complete bechaari duniya ke bojh ki maari because of them. Aryan will pull her out of this mentality...

Expecting something pathbreaking from a gul show would be crazy. But i think what they are trying to do here - showing a new way of thinking within the cliche tropes - could actually turn out to be really good.

Just dont butcher aryans character. Like seriously. I can't remember a single male lead that pushed his female lead to let go of her regressive mentality. Dont change aryan. Just don't.

When I first started watching this, it gave me another serial vibe (IPKKND) Arnav and kushi.

-The same contract marriage

-character description of ASR and imlie to ASR and kushi

- revenge being the key factor for contract marriage

-taking revenge on someone who hurt his sister knowingly or unknowingly

-start from hate, then liking then revenge then falling in love after the marriage.

-there it was dadi who was against the marriage. Her it will be bad maa/new character

And many more similarities.

Later I realized that IPKKND is also produced by gul. So now I see the pattern on where this is going😁🤣

tbh im surprised there hasn't been more murder on this show, im so used to it from bengali serials LOL

unlike the Arnav and Khushi story, in this marriage track, Aryan has complete trust in Imlie, and he's not marrying her to protect his sister or any other family member. He's not even marrying her because he loves her (he does he just won't admit it). He's not even marrying her to get revenge on Aditya. He's just doing it to keep his promise to Meethi. So we're not going to have to see any mean husband scenes like we did in Arnav/Khushi's story or Ragahv/Pallavi's story.

of course Imlie is being a little dumb now so she will MU a lot of the stuff that Aryan does as just putting salt in Aditya's wounds, but she'll eventually figure out it was all just for her.

i really hope there is more murder, maybe just the murder of Aditya would be enough to cut Imlie's ties with. the Tripathis. Or perhaps, Aparna dies, and the whole family is so distraught, they move to Mumbai or some shit.
