Ok so about what was major turn off in this episode and dampened my shaadi excitement and post shaadi excitement a lot
First of all the forever issue: Imlie’s characterisation
wtf 😬 I really can’t go on with a pair when one part of it is so suffocating. She would have actually gone back to AKT! She wanted to keep a road open to him and that pathetic doe eyed wistful expressions she was giving at him proposing turned my stomach into acid. I always thought she subconsciously is moving on, but now I feel its just some attraction she felt because come on how bad is her dependency on AKT?? This might not be their irada but with how badly they deal with imlie’s character I can’t help but feel her love for aryan would be akin to a rebound or more out of duty. And it just makes me very very sad.. how regressive they show her that she can’t hold AKT responsible instead gives him doe eyed expressions at his proposals and had a thought back to him when aryan asked for marriage.. why why must the FL be such a doormat to her ex and his family, it’s a huge turn off
Second: Badi maa and baby doll. A big NO NO
They are giving me bad QH flashbacks. There was a point when the number of negative characters increased, and ones like these were introduced around marriage too and that’s when the show started going downhill. Even Anu and Malini had some emotions in them, something they cared for.. this badi maa character seems soulless. Couldn’t we have a character like in ipkknd ? The relative who was very very strict but not morally wrong? Why did we need classist evil characters once again ? To namecall imlie naukrani or lower class one million times again? On top of that the mess they made of the rathores because of them.. the cruel hand in the trunk and the kind hearted sorted rathore women turning cowardly and not even protesting it.. 🙁
Third: BAD PRE ARYAN IMLIE FLASHBACK
You know the moment my mind went there might be no coming back from this for adilie was when he brought malini home. And when Anu and Malini frequented, 1000 taunts a week to imlie with only 3 being replied back to by Ts or akt. That was their ‘drama factor’. They cannot do drama without humiliating imlie and I know that’s what’s coming again too. And the previous time was such a trauma to watch I will not be able to handle anything short of aryan throwing them out of the house but that is not going to happen. Even once him staying mute will make me very very upset and I am sure it’s coming. Since imlie’s protection is why he married her.. I am hoping he’d do better than her ex and he might too.. just not something I am fond of this brainwashing ml fl humiliating track. I don’t need to know how good aryan is through imlie being brought down continuously, I already know that. This was a major point why I stopped watching previously, first it was akt glorifying through imlie putting down so he could give it back then slowly he turned into a lamppost. Aryan will not do that, but anything short of them being thrown out is not it for me. I am not ready to relive even a second of the pre aryan drama. It was horrible and actually traumatic to watch 😭 found it disgusting the whole hand in the trunk and no one saying a word scene today, I am getting that feeling I had with the story in june again and I am not staying for a redo. We’re getting into the trp only matters in ways we can sacrifice the essence of a couple and characters zone slowly..
wedding tho rushed thi hi, but the tripathis’ bakwas bechargi, imlie’s wistful look for akt, the toxicity of badi maa and baby doll and the rathores just mutely watching are major red flags 🚩 with how cruelly the badi maa dealt with the security guard, a new wave of abuse on imlie is incoming.. I fear it will be QH level toxic..
it’s better I take a break or stick to arylie clips cause my interest in the story just went down the drain with one episode. it’ll break my heart seeing the rathores go down the mute T path, not here for it :-(
Actually.. the rathores have been so unproblematic ke I am not able to digest anything tainting them. I’d rather have them as they were in my memory excluding this awful badi maa baby doll classist behaviour compliancy scenes..
