It is! It's a retro classic and I loved it too - sadly two of the female leads have become right wing/anti-vaxxer nuts and the third died young. Paul Rudd however remains funny and hot😆

Isn't Clueless a modern/contemporary adaptation of Emma? I had so much fun watching it. And there is this Bollywood movie Aisha which is an almost remake of Clueless and I enjoyed that too. Only time I tolerated Sonam Kapoor on screen I guess because she was just playing herself I guess. 🤣

Since you've already been through the pain, summarize for me please? What was the sharth? And what was Abhimanyu's response?

I watched today's epi.Really, Manish was completely right. There can't be two opinions on it. And that p** Abhimanyu is such a double standard guy for whom his mother his everything but Akshu's family is dispensable.

I rather softened towards abhinin a few scenes today, with BP.. But then that's textbook behavior right? He seems like a good, reasonable guy butbmomentbthings don't go according to him, he immediately came down to threatening and blackmail.

I enjoyed Clueless a lot too.. Started Aisha but I can't stand that Sonam Kapoor yaar so stopped it. Sad coz the guy who played her dad looked promising.. Just saw a couple of scenes of his and liked him.

You're younger than me, Snow - but probably more mature! I appreciate your sharing this and I'm really glad you found someone who is good to you and makes you happy. Was it an arranged marriage (if you don't mind my asking)?

Funny, my mom says something very similar when we have this discussion - except she uses the word 'compromise', life is a compromise. My folks have given me a lot of freedom but she thinks it's left me with the illusion that the rest of my life will be completely footloose and fancy free. Her point is I will need to compromise if I want companionship and not be lonely once all my vella friends get married...

It's just very uncharted territory for me and I would love to hear more honest opinions about the tough parts of marriage but most people I know in RL just emphasize the positive, which I have a hard time believing given the greater than 50% divorce rate in America...

I'll get back to this

This is what everyone says. Some people say, children are worth it even if the marriage is unhappy. Like taking a point out of Adichie's, when men say compromise it's like not spending too much time with friends, playing games or less/more work hours whereas in women say compromise it is leaving the career or too much time for carework and household chores etc.

You are older than Snow? Really? In my head you are a 22 year old, dude. 😅

How old are you actually?

Wow, so MAA is again an obstacle... This is so messed up - Abhimanyu wants Akshara to prioritize him above her family members (including her grandfather who JUST had a heart attack) but he isn't willing to do the same and puts his mother first? Wah re logic...🤔

(thanks for sharing the synopsis, Snow - I may never watch this show again but just check these blurbs when I get curious...)
