India vs. West Indies
It is not enough to fight. It is the spirit that we bring to the fight that decides the issue. It is morale that brings the victory.
India won the first T20 international against the West Indies relatively comfortably as it won the toss and made good use of the conditions.
We saw some naive tactics from the West Indies, where they failed to utilize the immense talent they have in their team. 1-0 up, India has a chance to win the series in this match.
India made some changes to its lineup and used its players quite wisely in the first T20.
We saw Ravi Bishnoi get a role in the middle as the kind of spinner that will lock down teams while Yuzvendra Chahal was given more freedom to try and win matches.
Similarly, Venkatesh Iyer was given a couple of overs as well to try and just give Rohit Sharma some flexibility.
The captaincy from Rohit Sharma was spot on and that will be an advantage for India throughout this series.
Deepak Chahar has been brought in with a specific mandate to pick up early wickets and he needs to deliver while Harshal Patel also needs to improve his showing at the end.
Harshal Patel's role as the designated death bowler, as well as his fantastic change of pace, makes him a good option.
India's batting was enough to chase down a below-par total in the previous match. It was pushed to the brink as well with all six batsmen having to bat. India is currently playing Deepak Chahar at number seven and that means it has a long tail.
Rohit Sharma top-scored and easily looked like the best batsman, and Suryakumar Yadav also looked quite fluent and it seems as India might finally have a clear plan of what it is trying to achieve. India hit more Fours than the West Indies in the previous match, but hit fewer Sixes as well.
