Lata best work was during her prime,.. During 90s and onwards she got simple tunes which can easily be sung by likes of less trained singers like alka yagnik too as music during 90s and early 2000 was made up of simple melodic tunes compared to the classicaly difficult songs of 50s and 60s

There are so many.....too many....the most striking thing about her voice was the modulation...she managed to convey the correct emotion every single time....aye mere vatan ke logon and lukaa chhupi bahut hui...make me teary eyed every single time....
