Imlie crying after seeing the CEO board doesn’t invoke any kind of emotions to me. I would have loved to see her climbing the ladder step by step rather than landing in the top from a helicopter. I might be wrong but this is my humble personal opinion.

The whole story is rubbish now anyway. Imlie has not even finished college, has no qualifications or experience, can suddenly drive a big car with no lessons or probably even a licence - don't they have to drive with an experienced driver before passing their test in India? No one with half a brain drives in spiky stilletto shoes either - so dangerous, and Imlie could barely walk in them last time she tried let alone drive!

She is CEO for just one day with no back up guidance ( not even the editor? though I have not watched the epi so maybe), yet already overnight she has a ready-made up sign and other paperwork that normally takes weeks to prepare, and all for just one day? It is no wonder she gets bad comments from the other staff, it does make it look pretty clear that it is favouritism and that is very bad of Aryan, but then he has been totally irresponsible all the way through. If he had not spouted that nonsense fake news about himself and Imlie, then Aditya would not have walked out of the office and they might have stood a chance together - it is all Aryan and Malini's contrivance, they are as bad as each other.

Impossible to like Adi now anyway as the new actor has not removed the doughnut from his head and combed it down to make himself at least look remotely like GM. 😂

The whole story has moved from plausible to laughable. At least other series try to make the story realistic.

This story now feels like has been written by 10 year-olds as a class exercise.

I mean let's assume, she has actually done it, it's still none of Aditya's business. Let him complete his task first, he has a problem, let him go take it up with Aryan, the person who actually have the responsibility, not on the 19 year old girl who was given responsibility.

I have seen enough office politics to know that some incapable people do talk about others, when capable people were promoted or given opportunity before the incapable people. But those were gossips and whispers, about which nobody in sane mind would listen, work actually shows you know who is capable, who is not.

Since everyone wants logic too, if anyone has spoken actually like this in a corporate office, he will be fired on spot by HR, forget CEO. I wonder if Experience letter is given or not,🤔🤔🤔 I mean in the WBT sessions, I have only seen about firing and not about experience letter, should see again.

Bro imlie becoming CEO for one day is more logical than imlie becoming and remaining a house help for one year not only at Ts but at Cs as well.... But never mind, let's enjoy imlie's flight and ignore other things.

Aryan mentioned in the beginning that he offered her this job so she can continue her study and at the same time earn her living by working part time. I think the college hasn't started or something so she is working in office most of the time.

Here is the definition of Freelancing:

"A freelancer is an independent laborer who earns wages on a per-job or per-task basis, typically for short-term work. Benefits of freelancing include the freedom to work from home or from a non-traditional workspace, a flexible work schedule, and a better work-life balance."

Now coming back to being the CEO for a day. I don't know why there is so much criticism of Imlie on this. A lot of people are saying what Aditya said is correct. Please note that Aryan himself mentioned that he wants to test her leadership skills. A leader is basically a task manager. He knew what he was doing and he knew Imlie's potential as well. If you see the kind of job she got it's not something extraordinary if she is able to handle the people properly. She need to select the articles and make sure everyone's does their job. Imlie can do the first one easily but the challenge comes in the second one where she needs to command people to make the job done. Imlie is brave, fearless, and selfless but she is also very kind and soft hearted, and people can take advantage of her. We already saw one example in today's episode itself where one guy fooled her to get his leave sanctioned. Aryan wants her learn to become good task master.

She is not qualified to free-lance, she is supposed to be an intern, which means watching others and learning from them, not taking over. No office would let her do this unless she were carefully monitored and not until she has maybe worked for them for 6 months or more. Our students report back after a year training with a company on work experience and none get allowed to do this so quickly no matter how clever they are. Just makes Imlie too smart, and already she is losing her native trends to become citified, which is a bad development. It is important she does not become like the empty airheads that surround her at college, she is supposed to be teaching them values, not the other way around!

It's how I feel anyway, I cannot actually watch it any more.

Interesting.

Well i don't disagree with you but request your opinion on why she did not need experience and training (and a licence off course seeing she handled guns) to fight off kidnappers and terrorists?

You have seen my posts from the time I have joined Pooja, I mean I was even hesitant to post something thinking it will offend some one, but today I got pissed off seeing the comments saying that Aditya was right in insulting Imlie. I mean how?????? But you are right, let's enjoy Imlie's flight.

Freelancing doesn't require a college degree. So you can't argue about qualifications here. You can search and verify yourself. And regarding internship, it's usually based on completing major projects. Imlie already completed two projects with outstanding performance.

ITV shows a lot of illogical things but showing Imlie freelancing is completely justified. She has proved herself to be an amazing writer. Furthermore, a lot of students does part time jobs.

People don't know how many non-STEM people actually work full-time whilst pursuing their undergraduate degree in India. Many of my own classmates were allegedly ghostwriting all those crappy Amazon ebooks and earning a shit lot of money more than any internship ever gave us. North Indian collegea, which have a very strong Humanities bent, do not give a singular hoot about attendance, assuming Imlie hasn't switched to a distance learning mode. It's hilarious actually how people in general assume that gaining education is a leisurely task where everyone can just afford to only worry about their degree 24/7.

That's a damn privilege.

Yes, the CEO thing is ridiculously fantastical, but someone would have managed a small office— assuming a newspaper has other branches for report collection— if the boss falls sick for a day or two. Despite Aditya's hekdi and Aryan's single-handed acquisition of it, Hindi print media is a small business.

So...

Also, young 'citified' women who probably get freedom for the first time in premiere colleges are airheads? Who cares about self-exploration and self-expression.

Full disclosure : nothing in this post is an attack and or insult to any member of Indiaforums.

Well Daddy Satyakam was said to have trained her with guns since childhood. Licensing laws for guns seems to be a bit lax over there too. I doubt anyone trained Malini either but she seemed to very accurately shoot herself without doing herself much harm. Skill that!

Fighting goons must be just instinctive and no doubt SK trained for that too, I am sure it was mentioned a few times. 😊

Yes well if i accept you explanation about training and gun-handling (that's pure nonsense because only imlie knowing how to shoot is believable, and i can close my eyes to aryan and malini knowing as well because they are rich kids it's possible they indulged in those sports)

still the fact that a 5'2" petite girl against more than one burly goons ---- still comes out victorious --- isn't that unrealistic?

Obviously there's a bit of brain power involved so why can't that brain power be used in her career making decisions behind the desk? Or is it reserved for particular purposes?
