True. SRK simply gave up whereas Salman kept working no matter what. Even in breaks SRK is not like Aamir who gave films like RDB, Dangal after breaks.
His script sense is so so. Nor does he know how to update and reinvent himself as an actor.
Today Salman has way more ads and shows than him.
Producers also do not know what to do with SRK and publicize his films like romantic films even if they are not love stories. Producers of Raees failed when they made promos of film showing romanc between SRK and Mahira misleading audience as if it was another romantic film, which it was not.
Aamir especially chooses different roles and keeps marketing focused as per story of the film so that audience is not misled with false expectations.
Salman was also smart enough to focus more on action of Wanted and Dabangg in initial promos. He did not release romantic songs first.
Whereas SRK is seen with a girl even in promos of Don.
Heck! SRK does not even do ads without girls. Except Byju's. It is tiring to see him opposite women all the time. Predictable and boring.
SRK is prisoner of his own image and allowing himself to be slotted as a romantic hero dancing at family functions.
