Edit: you will probably see this pesky scene in the story somewhere 🤣🤣🤣

all the best with your little monkey.

this was beautiful! i don't mind aditya or malini pov's, the story is about ALL of them and all their chaotic decisions (though Aryan has made the least thus far...) I am very excited to see the Adini reunion in the hospital. will aditya forgive her for her sake so she can go peacefully?

what the heck is Anu demon woman (what my friend calls her to distinguish her from Anupama the best ever) gonna do when she finds out Neel is permanently going to be with Arylie + Aditya. you're writing such a wonderful well thought out story where everything feels so realistic. great job as always!

Yeah, whatever Adi, I'm still not convinced.

But can't remain angry at M for giving you the semblance of a human being 😪

But still angry

My expectations are low, Captain. I know Aditya is beyond unpopular around here. 😆😆😆

I'll be very honest with you... up until a few days ago, I refused to see AKT in any other light than the one I'd labelled him for, another ITV creation, a weak and toxic bigamist...

But some tweets on Twitter got me contemplating about the image I'd made of him...the cage I'd put him in, beyond which I couldn't identify with...

Long ago, in an interview, GM said that people just couldn't fathom his character because all they wanted was a version of Ram on their screens... His description (in my eyes, he was justifying the character) had me so pissed because I was so done with toxic ITV MLs being justified for their actions. At that point of time, all I wanted was a good human being or to be specific, a good ML...

But now I realise that GM never wanted to justify AKT's actions and nor does he want to be a hero.. A character like AKT doesn't belong in an ITV soap... he belongs in a much more complex show with a multi-faceted audience...Because he is grey in the truest sense of the word...He is one of those characters people should love to hate... He is not perfect...He is the exemplification of a weak human being, not worthy of being worshiped anymore than the next person.. But most ITV audience have one-track minds (and at one point of time, so did I) and they can only categorize as hero or villain of which he is neither..He's just a man who made poor choices in life (Eg.: not telling his parents about his forced marriage, letting Imlie stay as a house-help etc)

Part of the reason why people hate him so much is because so-called stans try to justify each and every mistake of his which is just unfair because his actions are worthy of criticism... I don't know whom to blame for turning AKT into a hero cuz he is NOT..

Sorry about that analysis..I'm sure you didn't need it but I felt like getting that off my chest lol..

So, coming to the point, I absolutely love how our versions of AKT are almost in tandem.. And I love how you've managed to relay Aditya and his choices in depth while being concise about it at the same time.. I'm sure his head was a dark place so I appreciate how you've managed to find a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel..

As usual, looking forward to more and thanks for taggin❤️

Au contraire!! I loved your analysis. Most people even here in a more liberal Arylie DT will not agree with us. But at his core, Aditya is not evil, just supremely flawed, weak, spineless, blinded by Malini. He shows one persona to the world but underneath it all is this tumultuous vortex of emotions and his attempt to cope with his circumstances. He is not strong but he is reckless, using alcohol to escape his reality, his mistakes.

I am glad you liked this quick but deep dive into his psyche. 🤗🤗🤗
