Aditya, ironically, is the one that sees them clearly and misconstrues it with his own insecurities. He put that stipulation in front of Imlie knowing full well she'd chose Aryan. That entire sequence was so poignant and powerful. And, there would come a time when she'd be compelled to defend Aryan in public and that'd the time Aryan would be comforted.

Even if she's blindsided by her own stupidity and heartbreak right now, what she feels for Aryan is not platonic.

Tagging both of you here because I am lazy. The more and more I see this show, the more I am convinced this is what they are trying to portray. I think it's very apparent how much Aru is feeling for Imlie. But what's subtle is how fast Imlie is moving towards him. It's apparent to everyone else— especially Aditya.

Aru has many reasons to keep Imlie at bay; he's her boss, her mentor, not to mention his revenge and her BS-ing. He considers her age as a deterrent too because he's decent like that.

Imlie, on the hand, has no valid reason to not fall in love with him apart from socialisation. She knows very well that she can fall in love him.

Narmada's comment was the first time someone had brought in 'heart' into their equation. Everyone else was just accusing of her being a gold-digger which she could conveniently ignore because it's not true.

She got affected by the "dil" and that made her retaliate by going to the Ts, advocating for BS-jiju and needlessly fighting with Aru to keep him at bay.

Her words were very harsh but she's a 19 and any harm to Aditya will be traumatic to her. I see her vitriol as an anxiety response to the very traumatic situation.

Keeping aside the doormat tag

What I actually mean is, in relationship development, when someone is first to fall/realise their feelings... They're in the phase of giving a free pass to that person more than they'll allow anyone else...

Like imlie has been doing the whole year for adi...

So maybe later at some point imlie will realise that similarity and she's like omg!! And she'll be able to better understand the depth of his feelings...

Zero excuses for her behaviour and frankly I find it annoying. I’m just not as annoyed by it anymore. Maybe Libran has had such an effect on me lol But like I didn’t expect any more from her. The Imlie I thought I started watching this show for, I did, but the Imlie I’m beginning to see on my screen, not as much you know. So lower expectations (which I wish I didn’t have to have) means that I’m less annoyed when I see it play out.

Plus this week I don’t have the emotional and mental capacity to give her nonsense lol

I’ve also just resigned myself to the fact that my heart is just always going to hurt for Aryan. Bechara doesn’t deserve this. But I’ll continue hoping he gets the love and affection he deserves.

I completely agree with you

I had started watching the show for an Imlie who stood up for herself but when everyone in the Tripathi family (basically Aparna) started mistreating her after getting to know that she's married to her son, I stopped watching it.

I started to watch it again when Imlie let that house for her self respect but she's lost now. Lost in the web which she had created of dreams with her BS. She isn't seeing anything above him. Not even herself let alone Aryan
