Yes, but not because of the audience. But because the people making these movies still have huge blinders on what their audience wants.

Bollywood is struggling with this while the competition has increased. Why watch ho hum Bollywood movies when there's an amazing Korean drama that's released or a great South film is out?

It's as if they're living in a bubble and don't realize that their audience is now getting exposed to more forms of entertainment. And with that competition, they have to keep up. But they just haven't. Hence movies that are predicted to be entertainers/grand successes become duds at the box office
