Seems weird to generalize "Khan fans" like that, plenty of SRK fans don't like Salman Khan and many Aamir fans are not fans of SRK or Salman etc. its not like its one fanbase.

Anyway OMG was great and interesting but it has not a big hit and Akshay back then had little BO pull like he does now, meanwhile PK was a huge blockbuster so obviously the latter is known more.

Airlift is the only movie Akshay has done in the last 6+ years which was at least enjoyable. Kesari sucked just like Mission Mangal or Gold or any of the other boring forgettable movies he has done lately. None of these movies are remembered even now, meanwhile Aamir's movies like PK, 3 Idiots or Dangal will always be popular (same for SRK and Salman's best movies or Hrithik's)

That's the issue with Akshay, he cares more about quantity instead of quality. Look at his line up for this year and the next. Literally nothing interesting

Ajay is such a fantastic actor and has so many good films to his credit. Company, Gangajal, Raid, Drishyam, Omkara, Zakhm, legend of Bhagat Singh nd so many more.

Akshay's Hera Pheri and OMG has such repeat value, infact few of his comic movies like Welcome have repeat value too. He also has Airlift, Padman, Baby, Special 26, Namaste London which are well received successful movies.

Yes its a classic, just because some snobs on the internet like to hate on popular older movies doesn't mean they aren't loved by most people (certainly more than any Akshay or Ajay movie ever)

Akshay's comedy movies from the 2000s definitely have replay value but that's mostly it. In the last decade his only good movies were Special 26 and Airlift, rest is low effort comedy crap like Houseful or desh bhakti garbage where he plays the same character again and again

Baazigar is more iconic than Akshay's whole filmography, maybe Hera Pheri comes close..that's it.

This thread is not about khan's vs akki or ajay its to acknowledge their achievements in a competitive industry without the backing of media and industry wala's. Baazigar is even for me is better than aamir's performance in gajni also.

for me akshay has had the best filmography last decade, he changed himself and made movies like Special chabbis, OMG, baby, Airlift, Rustom, Padman, Kesari, Mission Mangal. The list is quite large for a decade and even won national award for airlift. All successful, and different, MM first space research movie.

No offense but the thread is about Akki and Ajay so where did Hrithik come from? I do not think anyone bashes Hrithik. Of all actors in industry if there is one actor who is least controversial, is complete package of looks and talent, gets along well with everyone, it is Hrithik.

So IDK why you have to clarify about his success in every other thread.

But only in terms of comic timing, I would rate Akshay higher than Hrithik. Akki has probably one of the all time best comic timing for male lead actors in Bollywood.

Hrithik is junior to Akki, Ajay and Khans so I do not understand why he is dragged in every thread on 90s stars.

Hrithik has no good comedy like Hera Pheri, Welcome or Andaz apna apna, Golmaal or All the Best in his career yet. So it will take time to compare to vast filmography of all 90s stars.

MPK is an ATBB and iconic film whose scenes such as antakshri scene to confess love was also copied by Adi Chopra in DDLJ.

MPK is a trend setter while KNPH is forgotten now and only known as debut of Hrithik.

Only someone born after 2000 would be unaware of impact and craze for MPK which revived theatres and brought back family audiences to cinema halls after generally vulgar and violent films of mid 80s. Even the Friend cap, white pigeon and boating in Dil deewana song are more popular than anything in KNPH.

33 years and it is memorable and gets shown on TV every weekend. Its music broke records and became highest selling album of 80s. Whereas KNPH is hardly shown on TV now and was forgotten in 20 years flat.

Comparison aukaat anusar karna chahiye. MPK is an ATBB, trend setter, game changer and classic. KNPH is just an HGOTY famous only for Hrithik's looks and dance, not the story or music or any scenes and tropes in film.
