(I love literally all Salman's movies of 90's (Prem type) but don't like his after 2010's except some)

2000's - Preity Zinta-Saif Ali khan-Rani's movies

2010's- Imran Khan's, Ranbir's movies

Basically all sweet movies 😆

Also those Akshay-Paresh Rawal type comedy movies

The Akshay/Paresh Rawal comedies in the 2000s were hilarious, loved the Hera Pheri movies, Garam Masala, Welcome etc. lots of fun. Give me comedic Akshay over desh bhakti Akshay any day. His movies are tedious now

Yeah I think some woke/snobby people like to bash the most popular movies of the 90s and 2000s but I think they are more fun to watch than Bollywood movies these days. "Romantic" movies like Kabir Singh or ADHM & Student of the year movies were actually lackluster yet were very popular..

Omg, don't even get me started on ADHM and Kabir Singh. People who enjoyed those two crapfests are in absolutely NO position to trash movies from back then. Narrative techniques might have been different back then but the people who enjoy today's bollywood stories simply don't get to call 90's stories any more or less ludicrous than what they enjoy today! 😎 Technology has gotten better over time but I'd even go far enough to say that bollywood era has regressed over time in terms of creativity and storytelling. 😆

I liked Darr, Bazigar..they were not that gruelsome..

But, I can't watch too scary movies ...Some days ago, there was talk of 'Shakti' movie here. I tried watching, but just couldn't 😅 ..I couldn't even reach Srk part, already was too much for me..

Just some pics of Ashutosh Rana of Sangharsh make me uncomfortable, haven't dared to watch the movie 😆Didn't know about Dushman..

I have to be able to watch though...I am going to watch some like an assignment someday, 😆

it's okay, if it's just not your cup of tea. I grew up watching all the "sweet movies" and started digging up the ones I completely overlooked back then and surprised myself. :) just remember what i said if the mood ever goes haywire. 😆

1970s hands down.

I love watching old films with variety of genres like comedies action, family dramas which all had theme of iconoclast characters, rebellion and questioning society and gave strong roles to women also who kicked some serious ass.

Amitabh, Mumu, Hema, Rekha, Parveen, Dharam, Vinod, Zeenat, Rajesh, Shatru, Sharmila, Raakhi, Shashi, Sanjeev Kumar, Rishi, Neetu, Pran, David, Premnath, Amol, Utpal Dutt, Raaj Kumar, Ajit, Prem Chopra, Amjad Khan etc all top notch and such a wide variety of filmmakers like Hrishikesh Mukerji, Manmohan Desai, Prakash Mehra, Yash Chopra, Shakti Samanta, Gulzar, Subhash Ghai etc.

Peak of Salim Javed and their epic scripts and dialogues.

The peak of Kishore, Rafi, Lata, Asha, RD Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal songs. The first era where filmmakers began to experiment more fearlessly.

It is so entertaining and has immense repeat value. I liked trend of multistarrers also then. So many iconic actors in one film and iconic character actors like Asrani, David, Deven Verma etc.

There is no Bollywood without Salim-Javed IMO.
