The flaw of writing - inconsistency of characters

Dear forum members lately there's been hot discussion on kvg negativity with some stating it was planned earlier with his entry and others who feel it was a turnaround including myself.

The forum is opened for discussion . As everyone are eligible to give their opinions.

In my previous post

i missed out these points.

First of all i would like to ask a simple common sense question

The FL already faced two betrayals in a row , was the third brought on board a negative as well.??

Why would they bring a negative character for their FL in the first place. There was high demand for a new guy for tejo . So??

A demand for new guy means a positive character , so why would they not listen to their viewers demands? Why would they still bring a negative character once again for their FL ?

The logic

The only logic behind bringing a third negative was to redeem their male lead after stooping low for a continuous four months duration of EMA with a short redemption of hardly two weeks turning the cameo into a sudden psycho.

The best part , that psycho was able to support a woman emotionally all the while in Moga and taught her the meaning of relationships. He was in control of his emotions all the while and sudden outburst in Shimla when the ML was in his solo trip and FL having wonderful sweet fbs of him totally forgetting the cheating fbs .

Till today, i personally can't forget that fb of her breaking down middle of the road during EMA exposure. Priyanka nailed that scene so well that some viewers can't forgive fateh for his betrayal. That was most heartbreaking scene of the show which made many cried .

A woman forced to marry a man to save family from humiliation after just being betrayed by another man in a mere month period and then within a short period of hardly two months facing another hearbreak with yet another betrayal. How depressing that was.

Yet they have the audacity to show destiny uniting them. If they are fated to be together then why bring an EMA between them in the first place? Should have kept on with their marriage sanctity in tact while showing their struggles in a forced marriage with some interference from the ex and other side characters .

On one side they show such disheartening scenes and the other side the FL only having sweet fbs of the ML during a solo journey.

So if all these are not writing flaws then what are they??

The inconsistency of characters is the biggest blunder of this show. The turnarounds.

Jasmin- a sweet bubbly girl willing to sell her favorite new clothes to get money for sister's marriage during tejo jass wedding . Then using the same man to harm her sister. Crossed all limits of being evil. Will defo win colours nominations for best villain category.

Tejo- strong , selfless, ambitious, independent woman who thinks straight now turned into a weak emotional woman who can't gather herself after a horrible betrayal. Only remembering sweet fbs of her ex. And still having soft corner for that evil sister despite knowing how terrible and selfish she is. Instead of moving on she is doing fake engagement to make sure her ex and sister has a blessed marriage with families. What is this woman made of. Major turnaround of character

Fateh - a fabulous loving son who even took a knife for his father, risking his life. Strong supporter of wife when comes to career and dreams. Even spent good moments with her but just becoz his ex burned a passport to prove her love there he goes running after her with all hugs and ringa ringa roses on the swings betraying loveable sweet sacrificing wife and also humiliating loveable family keeping ex under the same roof. After that doing fake marriage for his ex to move on. Suddenly becoming mahaan. What he was and what he became. A major turnaround of character

Kvg- the less said the better.

So , by looking at past history they brought turnarounds in all characters horriblely so why would they spare angad.

If they can ruin their leads to horrible level why won't they do the same with their cameo??

I don't ship fatejo or tejang but i wanted freshness in the story and that's why i liked KVG's character.

For shipping of the jodi, a good story is required. They should not be butchered for trps. Utilise the side characters as well. Bring in new short cameos to spice up the story. Not just concentrating on three leads alone and doing the same merry go round with the plots.

Conclusion

Messy writing only for twists and turns for trps . Part of it is conspiracy with voot to not release episodes early. That's what i hear from members who subscribe voot.

Solution

No matter what they do , they really need to work on the inconsistency of characters. Thats the biggest drawback of their show

Hire a rocket from NASA, send them to outer space with one way ticket and no return. They are more infectious than covid

I totally agree with you. I wasn't disappointed at Angad being a psycho but as you said , I got more pissed off at the fact that the third person in her life also had to be negative!

Why this is bothering me so much is because , be it fraud Jass , Fateh or Angad all three are outsiders in Tejo's life ! Not a part of her family !

She believed in Jass thinking he'll be a understanding husband , but all he wanted was money , I'm happy he didn't use her body !

Next was Fateh who probably was her only friend or that kind of friend whom she was vulnerable with! This man was the who understood her while the entire family was busy celebrating the marriage of their second daughter within the same month , their elder daughter got cheated !🤢

As I said in the EDT before when Angad's psycho side was revealed ; all four characters took sudden turnaround! I blame the writers !

Still , in Fateh's and Angad's case no matter how promising they appeared , makers left hints here and there , but rushed the scenes where the pace had to be slowed down , hence everything looks sudden !

All leads took turnaround in their characters , but I still feel then Angad and Fateh were hinted.

A clear turnaround was Jasmine and Tejo

Jasmin was crying over Fateh's betrayal regarding Canada and for her sister Tejo who got landed in a forced marriage ! That pak phere or something where fatejo visit Sandhu house after marriage and J tells Tejo that she has come between them , she suddenly seemed to ignore the fact that now Tejo has become a part of jasfa. That moment she no longer was jhalli jassu , still we could think that she was sad over sudden marriage and was thinking of patch up if marriage hadn't happened. But she clearly was angry at Fateh for hiding the truth , and was focused in herself but the moment she learns that Tejo knew about job cancellation (just few minutes before the marriage) she goes blaming Tejo and questioning her sister's character😡 I was actually shocked and still in shock 😂

Coming to Tejo , all her actions were justified keeping in view how weak she goes in the name of family and relations. She giving divorce and slowly moving on in life was nice until she hears jasfa crying over their marriage. Tejo was in character until then , later she stops near a farm opens her arms , breaths free watching the birds fly , let's her sorrows go......dumb me thought that she won't be bothered about jasfa from then!

She went and proposed Angad for fake engagement , I was 😲😲😲. That was so out of character for Tejo , makers shut our mouths with her 'manufacturing defect' dialogue ! Angad ne to phir bhi aarti utari , what could we do

All in all what I mean to say is , making Angad negative is the most stupidest idea makers have taken , more worse than EMA !!😤😤

My only concern is Tejo has no one in life to look for except her family which itself is toxic and selfish , moreover the core reason for mess in her life !!

Fateh has Buzzo , Jasmin has Sweety , who does Tejo have ??

Fateh filled up the loneliness in her , she loved him but he became so selfish that he decided to push her into darkness. She is so exhausted, depressed and hopeless or has convinced herself to the extent that she finds light and solace in the darkness living with her sweet memories of her husband ! She gets flashbacks of happy times but remembers the bad ones too.

I can only blame the writing of makers , they have effed up every single track of this show from the very beginning itself , very poor creativity , all tracks end up to only throw light on their leads , instead of pulling down other characters , they can actually invest their minds in building up the leads ! Jasmine as a character had so much scope for development but now they have butchered and thrown her to a pit where there is no return for her character!

The thing is , I've become immune enough to bear all the shit makers show , cuz I like the actors in this show and watching for them❤️ I loved Fateh's topi , now that too has gone 🤧😝

Also , I felt instead of bringing Angad for Tejo , they could have brought him for Fateh under positive light ! Tejo can never change , but Fateh could have built up a spine if they had shown fatang , but makers have made them against eachother 🤷

Now , fatejo are made for eachother because they have no one else in life🥲 and I'm ready for Fatejo's reunion. Not at all disappointed at butchering of characters cuz I saw it coming , we know UD has bad writers🤡

I guess messy writing is going to stop now.

Now that we are going to get Fatejo.

Yep , writing flaws. We can't blame the actors and characters for how they are written. That's why i left the EDT . Past one month too much bashing since shimla track started. The tejang wale bashing fateh , the fatejo wale bashing angad. On top of that social media fanwars comments are also brought up unnecessarily. There is no problem sharing the offscreen reels or bts or whatsoever from SM but at least screen what u are discussing to refrain offending others. There are people reading ur posts. . Even before me, there were others who left due to the same reasons.

Gone were the days when there were members who were involved in healthy discussions and it was lively and entertaining. Now it has become a war zone. I left for my mental sanity and salute u for still ignoring the bs in the thread. I wanted to ignore but could only take up to certain level of tolerancy plus i was a little emotionally bound with angad's character . They wrote him well initially but started ruining him from fake engagement onwards.

My opinion.

The plotting to ruin angad started after he received the proposal to marry tejo. Meaning, after kushveer and rupi met him. He started giving weird expressions from then on with mysterious dialogues. I believe it was a turnaround for fateh's redemption and the planning to butcher angad started from the fake engagement then fake marriage onwards making both leads mahaan. So the revelations that he had grey shades were given in shimla. His PA clearly stated in Moga to tejo in the academy scene that he's a jewel.

How come two people knowing him have contrast views about him?? It was a major twist to garner trp and nothing else at the same time redeeming their ML .

kvg was gaining popularity since he entered. Ex Fatejo and tejo fans were shifting to tejang fandom. The first week he entered , there was a storm on SM. Even general viewers love him. I am pretty much sure trp aunties like his charm as well. He's a fabulous actor and he outshined the rest

Even ankit is fabulous but when he shared screen space with kvg , angad outshined more. And one more thing , they gave him better wardrobe. So that's another reason.

Same like jasmin getting better wardrobes than tejo bringing out her personality more. There is like some kind of favouritism going on, perhaps.

They didn't expect kvg winning hearts that early so need to turn him negative to pave way for fatejo as he was a cameo . But what about tejo. Was it good for her. They made mockery of their FL. Giving her one betrayal after the other. At least spare her with one positive guy. Is the planet only full of negative ones?? What moral values are they giving to public with so much negativity

Does tejo have any kid with fateh that she has no choice but to bounce back to him that soon. Is she an illiterate that she can't survive without a man supporting her. Have love made her so weak. She never believed in it even after she initially married fateh. She was strong , practical and had lots of self respect in her. So now where is that being practical ?

It's all messy writing . They don't have strong plots like other shows. Just twists and turns with character inconsistency for trp. The results are showing. It is going down. All type of blame games going on. Some on angad , some on fateh. The men are targetted more but i see more flaws in the female just like u do.

It will still go on for trps. That's their business tactic. No strong plots only twists and turns. That's why it's falling. Viewers can't be fooled for too long. They couldn't keep up their hold in top five position for too long. . The other itvs have better plots. Viewers want to see story not just twists and turns.

Fatejo were not written well earlier so hopefully they don't rush into their union too soon. Do it slow and steady. Bring back that same strong tejo and naughty fateh. Return the same nok jok. Make them lively not boring with too much family drama wanting them to get married soon.

Make fateh trying to woo tejo in hilarious ways. Reduce ss for jasmin.

I just hope for the best. I don't trust them.

We are all different , we all have different perspectives , most important we interpret a situation based on our experiences. I agree the EDT had been unhealthy, especially when makers started to go strong with fatejo reunion. No one needs to push down one's opinions on others. Putting up arguments for a fictional show and that too like UD is a time waste😆. I read many viewpoints here , while I agree with most of them , there are a few I disagree. If there is a disagreement I either remain quite as it's just a fiction or if there is a need to put up a point , I do it without offending anyone , being careful with words I choose. When we don't like the vibe around here , it's better take a break for sometime and I understand you.

Tejang friendship happened so fast , I agree makers started to show him a little shady after marriage proposal. I said many times makers start a track and drag it until they get idea on how to end it , once a plot is decided they rush it at bullet speed , this leaves a very bad taste!

Just try scrolling through past epsiodes of UD , you won't feel like rewatching any of them just because now you know how shitty and rushed or dragged they were (except episode 112☺️).

Yes ,we demanded a new guy for Tejo , not another psychopath🤢. To me now it looks like makers always knew they wanted negative cameo , but introduced him positive to attract audience , cuz if he was shown negative from beginning itself , people would have dropped the show like a hot potato. It was positive Angad that kept trp stagnant , now it's negative Angad who'll actually increase the trp , cuz he's bringing drama! Makers failed to deal with Angad's character like every other character🤷

Girllll the Seeta and Geeta needs to happened! We need a sassy Tejo 🙃

Fiction do affect emotions to certain level especially if u like a certain character . I made the right decision of leaving the EDT. I saved my mental sanity. Been long in the forum ignoring certain posts and members Idiocracy but after some time give up. After all patience had it's limit.

Whether angad was written negative from beginning or no that's upto the makers but if he remained positive would have been better. At least tejo had one good man in her life. No relationship required . Just friendship will do . And fatang would have been wonderful.

Anyway he's joining their next crap. I will watch few episodes see how it goes 🤣🤣🤣
