I think she just wants attention at any cost.

Everyone has conflicts, confusions but they keep it within 4 walls of their home or private journals. Kangana is too public about her issues. She may have had big dreams but when her films or relations did not succeed as she wanted, she began trying to get into ideological and political or cultural wars to prop up herself as a wannabe social commentator.

I hope she gets peace someday and does not end up like Parveen Babi losing her mental balance one day.

I am not much of a fan of kareena and saif individually but they are literally one of the cutest couples in bollywood. They have such an adorable littlr family, touchwood.

Ps: i feel like kangu wants to settle down now

It's an extremely weird friendship considering they basically stand for everything she claims to hate (both come from elite families with film connections, mixed relationship, liberals...).

Pretty mysterious tbh.

Why is this a surprise, Kareena expressed support for her during the HR saga, brought on by her own rejection from him.

Quite petty and foolish really but hey she now has Kangana's evil saaya for life, and will cling to her like a leech.

Her story is actually pretty sad and it's increasingly apparent now that she has serious drug/mental health issues...

I think most people in the industry know all about that as well, which is why people generally don't say anything back even when she bashes them publicly.

Kind of reminds me of Rose McGowan from HW tbh, all the abuse/exploitation in the industry clearly did a number on her mental health too and it's not only tragic but quite scary what bad circumstances/substance abuse can do to a person...

Frankly speaking Pataudi family has it all. It is nearly perfect. They have legendary family members, extended family, ancestral wealth, education, pedigree, class, well connected in arts, sports and political fields, they work as they want to, party and travel as they want to.

They give freedom to women. Sharmila also worked after marriage and went to politics as well. Her husband Tiger Pataudi never stopped her at all. They indeed looked like royalty in ads and public appearances they did.

Saif's sisters also did whatever they wanted to before and after marriage and their whole family is well read and well educated.

Amrita and Saif have kept distance after divorce but never let divorce affect their kids. The kids love their parents to bits but also respect their choice to separate. A rare maturity. Never once has Sara sounded bitter about parents' divorce.

Kareena is lucky she has in laws and husband who have no qualms with her working or doing whatever she wants after marriage and kids.

There is no bitterness between her and ex wife of her husband. They stay out of each other's ways.

They live as they want to, do films they want, chose to have kids as and when they wanted and never bothered about haters over names of their kids.

They still air their opinion openly without bothering about haters. They stay relevant in various ways. I liked how Kareena and Soha published their own books. And Kareena has her own radio show, Saif launched his clothing line, did solid web series. They keep experimenting in various fields. They are quite accessible to masses despite their elite and royal background.

Amrita was also daughter of a politically well linked family. But Sara is so normal.

They do not hesitate to interact with masses on social media or throw around weight of their connections all the time.

I like sibling love in that family also. The way Saif's sisters defend him, Bebo and their nephews on social media is so protective and reflects good bond they have. Same for adorable camaraderie that Sara and Ibrahim have.

I also love the bond Karishma and Kareena share till date and how protective they are of each other and how Saif also bonds with Karishma and helped her and Randhir during her difficult divorce with Sanjay Kapur and bitter custody battle for her kids. Saif and Kareena attend lot of events with Lolo and especially during her divorce they ensured she does not feel alone, left out cold.

Saif bonds very well with Kunal Khemu also and with Kapoors as well, attends their family dinners on X Mas. I like to see family reunion pics of Pataudis and Khemu family and Pataudis and Kapoors. Kunal is well respected as a son in law and not made to feel like he is no match to lineage and wealth of Pataudis.

Aa a family, Pataudis have managed very well. Classy people overall.

Touchwood indeed. They seem to have it all together.

I think you meant well, but women don't have freedom *given* to them or allowed them. They get their freedoms taken away. If they do retain it, it's their right as humans.

Secondly, cleaning up image doesn't mean traditional Indian womanhood as opposed to Western feminism. It's about treating others decently.

I never said cleaning up image means opposing western feminism. I said this is what Kangana said on her SM posts. Otherwise feminism is not a taint that needs to be 'cleaned'. Clean up image referred to her bashing others and making hateful, bitter, abusive remarks. Not feminism.

It is Kangana who routinely bashes feminism nowadays and rants on so called traditional womanhood and often makes sexist statements about woman's real place at home, which sounds strange given how she is a professional herself. Women are respectable whether they work outside or stay at home.

I agree. Women do not get freedoms given but often their families snatch their freedoms. Freedom is always for women to take and assert for themselves. But not all women are able to get families that do not snatch their freedoms and in which they get less resistance to their own individuality. That is what I wanted to convey. Kareena defied Kapoors to enter films but did not have to handle same resistance in Pataudi family, which is good.

I am not giving award to Pataudis for 'allowing' daughters and DILs to work. Just praising them for not being like other sexist, restrictive families. Maybe I should have worded it differently but Pataudis being a royal family, are refreshing change. Otherwise most famous or royal clans are extremely restrictive for the women in name of so called tradition. Pataudis are not that sexist and feudal, which is good.

They also deserve praise for being pluralistic and celebrating festivals of all cultures. Now respecting all cultures is also a basic what each citizen must do. But not many do it. So the few families that respect all cultures, exes, in laws and their religions, deserve credit for following their duty.

Pataudis are actually more open minded and less restrictive than the Kapoors. None of the Kapoor women barring Kareena and Karisma worked in movies because they were prohibited from doing so. Babita and Neetu stopped after marriage and it's only in later years that Neetu Singh returned back to the big screen.

More likely the Tagore influence, not Pataudi. When Sharmila did the bikini scene in Evening in Paris, Daddy Pataudi nearly broke their engagement. Also, she needed to convert to marry, IIRC. Not so for the next gen.
