I don't think they will show Aryan fully negative - esp as audience has accepted them. Also he and Malini so far see different. But end game will be Adilie to be true to core story start. thats why I don't want to fully commit to Arylie - save myself some pain here.

if you look at it, Aryan and Imlie started with light foreshadowing like Aparna’s prayer and NN’s shraap which could go any which way…. A week or two later, it became heavy foreshadowing… Aryan got criticized for the way he treated Imlie and now those things completely stopped… so, it looks like makers were keenly looking at how Arylie was being received by the audience then they went full on with Adilie divorce and O jaaniya…. If makers hadn’t planned Arylie, I doubt they would have gone ahead with Adini wedding as a second time Adi marrying Malini is unforgivable for the audience.,.. they have gone to a point that now the wider audience will not criticize or blame Imlie if she moves on from her “Adi is one and only husband and love,” belief. Arylie will be on for a while with either Arylie marriage and then Imlie falling in love with Aryan… or Aryan turning completely negative after a while so they can reunite Adilie.

Completely onboard with this. It's how I see it as well. I do think makers decided to come in for a strong reboot tho. Aryan came in with a lot of fanfare and SS. It could not have been so incrementally planned. They may have backstepped if audience reaction was brutal...but that did not happen.

They went all out to make Arylie and it happened. It also reduces the risk and concern of all of us had with GM leaving Imlie. A month ago GM leaving would have been death knell for Imlie. Now its seems like while the show still hinges on promise of Adilie after Adi's despair, downfall and redemption - the overall impact will be a bit reduced.

For their marriage to happen- YES .

She will do to protect Adi or Tripathis . She will sacrifice for them . Aryan might blackmail to get Imlie .

Yes, they really tested the water before they went guns blazing with Arylie…. With the over use of O jaaniya it was makers way of harping to the audience that there is a shift in pairing… Even Adini didn’t have an original sound track for them even when they were one of the pairs of the initial show.

Agree with GM’s exit and the panic it had created that time…and now that, Adi’s character went completely downhill it really won’t create the panic it did the last time… with Adini marriage many Adilie loyalists will stop watching the show as mentioned by many in this forum.., and that is a risk the makers are willing to take for now… and I agree with you, Adi’s redemption will start soon based on the TRP of the week after the maha sapta. Or maybe maha sapta will end with Malini’s PF. Makers might have something huge planned if they decided to show Adini marriage the same week Lakshmi found out about Rishi and Malishka and decided that she is never forgiving him.
