Aryan oozes zen like calm

I've been meaning to call this out for a while. Aryan is barely ever triggered/provoked by 'mean talk' about himself.

Ya'll remember the fight club scene? The guy went on and on about how this place is not for kids, go home kid, it's for men and what not, trying to attack his 'masculinity', but our banda was totally chilled. He didn't even bother with their nonsense. He stilled when they mentioned his sister and asked him to send her to them and collect her the next day. Yet, he didn't lose it. He put him in place, yet very classily. Contrast this with Aditya's street fight after the newspaper obituary. The guys said this isn't the place to dream about your wife and the man lost it and just attacked without thinking and then ended up being beaten up. 🤦‍♀️

Back to Aryan – more instances that show his calm responses: Aditya and Aryan's first interaction in the office. Aditya was all about praising himself and riling Aryan. But Aryan so casually turned the compliment back to Aditya without demeaning his own self or getting nasty and low with how dare you question me/your boss, etc.

Aaaand, finally, all those times when Aditya got down to mudslinging AryLie's relationship, he didn’t even shrug it off. Because the man is so comfortable and confident in his own skin he doesn't give a damn about anyone's opinion. He JUST. DOESN'T. CARE.

Exactly. Palatna to second nature ban gaya hai uska. 2 minute pehle gandi baat, phir 2 minute baad aanch nahi aane dunga izzat pe mode. Chahta kya hai ye.

More filth coming our way & probably Imlie ke muh par bolega is baar. Matlab I agree they want to establish ASR but this is too much. Do you think they'll continue this till AryLie is fully accepted & established & then GM may walk out finally? If he's indeed leaving I really hope the character gets atleast some sense back before that happens. Baki to writers ko pata hai.

Who knows. Lets see.

My problem is the dialogue writing. Although I appreciate the back and forth between Aryan and Aditya, with Aryan echoing some of my thoughts, the dialogues are awful. It's disturbing. Please standard to rakho kuch. Aur nahi liya jayega, no matter how petty exes are for real, but I truly am getting sick of the same trash.

Yup, it is disturbing to hear. But it's too close to reality.

But it could be also the fact that when somebody's ego is wounded, they turn into somebody unrecognisable from their actual self. I don't think it's a narrative to establish Aryan, but it's an actual narrative of society. Most men do this all the time, blame women for the failure of relationships rather than accepting the fate. Not just men, but women do this to women.

Weave a narrative around themselves of being the greater victim while wallowing in self pity, when the courageous thing would be to own upto your mistakes and learn from them to grow as an individual.

That's definitely part of it. For Aditya to say those things though. She freaking shared her tiffin with someone who is a subordinate at the moment. How does she get called those things because of that? It was so unnecessarily regressive and downright crude.

I do think too that Aryan's half of that conversation was written to stand out just as much as Aditya's horrible words and attitude. It's possible they wanted to achieve multiple things with this scene. I hope they don't have more like this planned

No, but can you hear the kind of shit Aditya spews from his mouth. I mean, I find it hard today to actually believe what he said about Imlie to Aryan. Is he mad???😲Aryan tackled it with grace.

Jealousy samajh aati hai, but this is so so petty and so unlike him. Can pain make someone so cheap and mean?

What kind of love is this? Misunderstanding me dard hota hai, jhagda hota hai, kaha suni hoti hai, cold war hota hai kitna facets hai. But ye gandi, zaleel baatein karna. Is there no other way to uplift Aryan's character?

I mean you can show Aditya being petty without this. Thankfully Imlie did not hear all this. It would have broken her tremendously. Jisko woh kal gussa, badla term kar rahi thi is plain gutter mentality boss.

If she heard all that, she would have spat on herself, that main iss aadmi se pyaar karti hu. Chi.

exactly thats my whole issur.. it feels as if this was the Real Adi from the start.. hav no respect for Imlie as a human being let alone as his wife..

and the love he shouts so loud about wasnt even there... it was just momentarily affection he had for The Imlie who saved him so many times, who fought for him.. so he was all delusional about what he felt for her.. and he thought being her only person in this shahar she will be under his chatrachaya all her life despite all the bad treatment she went thru.. but when she left him the real Adi woke up.. the real person who can stoop so low to disrespect, talk so filth abt her so called beloved wife.

i always wonder.. just cause she is not in love with you anymore you hav the rights to go behind her back talk those words.. how come.. wo to tumhare against kuch nahi bolti itna sab jhelnr ke baad.. hiw come you have become tru DevDas.. bas bottle nahi hai aas paas..

Well another thing is he is literally parroting what Malini and her mom had been feeding him about Imlie. In a saner mental space, he didnt agree to that, but when he is literally spiralling, he falls prey to those thoughts.

The man chose to write a public obituary to the relationship. So it ain't the first time he did this. The difference being this time he actually voiced out it clearly with an analogy.
