Well, hello forum members
So I am back with my take on the yesterday's episode.
Boy what an episode! Lot of things happening all at once!
But before I begin my take on vikrant I would like to mention that Deepu and Vikku looked cute in the flashbacks with all their bihari accent.
The flashback scene where vikrant and Deepu have an argument regarding her wanting to be a surgeon post marriage was very very nicely written and performed by both the actors. Nothing was over the top or dramatic...just how happens in reality.
I know many people from my friends and relatives who actually think that girls should opt for dentistry, pathology and such departments in medical field where they have less working hours so that ofcourse they can look after the family coz in India ,no matter what education or qualification, the mentality is that it's the girl's duty to manage household chores where the male will not take even the slightest part in any of those.
So when vikrant despite being so educated acted like a chauvinist pig, he was a mere reflection of the Indian mindset unchanged for years. In every sentence he spoke he made sure to show that he will always be the one having authority in their relationship and that Deepika would have to follow what vikrant says or wants.
And the moment Deepika spoke in a lil irritated tone, he asked her not to raise her voice..... typical male.
10 years later that is coming to the present, I particularly liked the part where Deepika points him out that if he wanted her to be the head he would have backed off without asking her but here also he wanted to show her that the position would be a gift from him to her......huh....really......he hasn't changed even a bit.
I hope as the show progresses , they show Deepika teaching a good lesson to all these egoistic men and they start respecting and handling women the way they deserve to be treated , not meant to be kept like some trophy or possession.
