I think he does still love her based on how he looked at her while she was leaving in the jeep. He couldn't have pretended then because there was no one to see. It seems like both of them do still feel something towards each other rn. But I do think his ego is huge and combined with his regressive mentality probably bigger than love. Just like how Deepika realised respect>love. She did it for the right reasons and this man for all the wrong.
