I don't think he is imagining..

1. Mujhe lagta she will actually follow him and try to get his attention.. But Meety ko dekhke kud jaayegi or bhaag jaayegi sth and Meetwa will think it was his imagination

2. Else we get a real confrontation where he tells her off..

In both scenarios, she joins as a hotel staff to keep an eye on them and get his attention

Tej bhaiyya seem very aloof,I am now getting that his FIL had a role in his disappearence maybe something which he think he did and is wrong thats why he is spending his time in repentance to avoid trouble for his family but than it will come out that he was innocent all along and his FIL had a role.

Maybe his FIL also didn't wanted that marriage as Once Babita said their Kundalis not matched and its a love marriage and nobody supported beside her.

I think Manushi will join as waitress...😆
