My contention is that integrity exists in a continuum... and when Vicky/Kat are standing against Ranbir/Deepika, the latter has a track record of pulling unscrupulous and dirty games. Kat/Vicky--not so much--nowhere near those two.... and Vicky--not even one that I know of. So your argument that "everyone is the same" holds no weight either.

Every person's success story is different. Someone might get through the door by blowing KJo but that doesn't mean everyone else got there the same way. Schmoozing around is a necessary evil but I'm gonna go with my own judgment call based on what I've watched of Vicky so far and say that he impressed people with his work and when they reached out to him, with his people management skills. In fact, basic logic tells me that those who don't have much going for them are the ones who need to really go above and beyond with the PR games to keep them in the spotlight. Those who are already moving onwards and upwards don't need to shit on themselves for sympathy.

In that case, Nawaz and Rajkumar Rao should've been numbers 1 and 2. 😆 I'm pretty sure you know no industry operates exactly that way, least of all Bollywood.

Rajkumar Rao would have been #1 if he could pass off as a conventional hero, but he does not. No amount of sucking up and politics can turn him into a tall, handsome hunk. He is talented and has created his own niche where he excels .... he isn't in the rat race with the likes of Ranbir, Ranveer, etc.

As for Nawaz, he has also managed to create space of his own but just like RR, he's not a conventional hero either.

Or is it box office? Vicky is hardly a box office draw yet. Uri was his only hit where he played the main lead. He might get there, but he's nowhere close at this time.

This article is a tactic guaranteed to generate sympathy for Vicky. This is coming from Mr. and Mrs. Kaushal's team. 100%. Katrina is not likely to be in the numbers game, any longer, but she wants the hubster to be.

That maybe the one thing you got right here. I don't know any more than anyone else here. But guess what? I can analyze. I can deduce. And once again, I am 100% certain this is Vicky and Katrina's doing.

1) Vicky is nowhere close to being a threat to RS or RK. Vicky is an also-ran at this point. He might think Katrina being his wife changes things, but it doesn't. He might get there some day but not if he starts trouble at this stage in his career. But then, the article is proof he thinks he can get away with it.

2) Putting out articles like this would harm RS. I am certain PR professionals hired by movie stars might make a mistake or two here and there, but this one would be too big. And I am certain they know a *teensy* bit more than IF members about audience psychology and public relations. It's highly unlikely to be RS/DP who did the article.

3) RK gains nothing from it at this point. He could have just to have his fun, but I would think he's busy with the never-ending Brahmastra.

They have been getting lots of love & support already from everyone. Just go and look at the views & comments on their Tapecast interview. Its close to 10M. And Vicky will always be an underdog when compared to the likes of Ranveer or his wife's ex boyfriends. So no matter whether he plays this PR game or not, he will be cheered regardless. Nobody would've bothered to sh*t on him like this had he not married Kat. He has anyway been lowkey after that infamous video at Kjo's party. Got to learn his lesson the hard way quite early on so good for him. He is not the one who would make enemies in this industry... just like his wife.
