More than anything I believe Karan and Ranbir-Alia were really relying on their relationship to create interest and hype for this movie. But Vicky and Katrina stole their thunder. People want to see Vicky kat together, there is more hype for them. The tapecast interview will cross 10 million soon.

What difference would that make, from 9 to 8? Zero. None. Nada. So it leads to the question "why now?", not even a week after a big Bollywood event that was the wedding. More than the film, they promoted their relationship and packed on the PDA. It's like PR for their relationship. The event also looks like it was put together in a rush, not properly planned out. What were they trying to accomplish here? What are they trying to show to world? That they're soooooo in love? Timing is SO sus, it's almost on the nose as DP's stunt.

Okie. I still don’t believe and agree that they pulled up an event coz Katty’s wedding garnered attention.

This. It was at 2M just one week before their wedding. Even I was taken aback by the positive buzz their wedding created. Majority didn't even know they were dating. They didn't have a single couple picture so naturally that caused the curiosity around them.

Because romance is completely fake. Movie release hone par khatam ho jayega.

They are fake and that's why their relationship will survive. Both are equally fake. With katrina it didn't sustain as she was real.

I don't think the achievement here is marriage but the commitment that comes with marriage which clearly is not something that goes along with Ranbir. So it probably IS an achievement for Katrina who probably wanted commitment and a good future for her that she was devoid of in her childhood and got it finally. No wonder she looks extremely happy in her pictures post marriage.
