Frankly speaking, for Adi and Imlie papers or the marriage symbols doesn’t matter. For them it is the faith that they are husband and wife and they want to be with each other is what matters. Since the faith is shaking they are showing the displeasure in different ways like Imlie burning MS and Adi signing the divorce papers.
