Don’t remember the last time I saw a trailer so many times .. showed it to my Dad .. he got nostalgic 😊.., definitely taking my parents for this one in the theatre .

Nowhere does Ranveer seem like a caricature. Wigs are a given. How else does he get hair like Kapil paaji?

I only agree to the criticism that his dialogue delivery is a tad inconsistent in the trailer as at some points he sounds exactly like Kapil Dev speaks in real life and at some points he speaks like his own self.

Otherwise I did not find anything wrong with his look or body language.

Tomorrow if someone plays SRT in a film on 2011 WC he will have to sound and speak like Sachin but it does not mean he will be doing mimicry. It is just being authentic and believable especially if you are playing someone who has a distinct voice and a typical style of speaking.

I find nothing wrong with DPad's wig either as that was a common hair style in 1980s with the women. Nothing out of place with it.

The film is likely to be a success.

Ranbir in Sanju and Sushant in MS Dhoni are how the characters of biopics are rightly portrayed. They didn't look and talk like cartoons. What Ranveer is doing is a shoddy mimicry which thousands of mimicry artists can easily do. He is not only making Kapil look ugly but also insulting him by spoofing him. It is a shame such a great cricketing legend has to suffer humiliation like this.

I was so psyched for this film but the trailer did nothing for me.

Same here. I was also so excited to see this film. But they ruined everything by making such a trashy joke. I am really disappointed.

Genuinely, I wouldn't have expected anything better from Kabir Khan.

Someone who can make a film like Tubelight, what can we expect from him. Actually it was our fault we expected atleast something decent from him.

Ranbir very much copied Sanjay Dutt in Sanju, be it his mannerisms or body language or style of speaking.

Sounds biased if one actor embodying a person is called a true actor and other is accused of mimicry.

Frankly getting into kapil body language is hard because he has to practice his bowling style and batting style. Kapil English is poor at that time and frankly ranveer nail it...

No complaints atleast from my cricket loving hubby and brother 😆 they both loved it and waiting eagerly to watch

I never liked his films but My God....he has become a total hack director 👎 His last two ventures(Tubelight and Phantom) were so so horrible
