Its Sangeet night celebrations for Baa and Bapuji 50th wedding anniversary, tomorrow will the wedding.
Samar: Suniye Suniye, aaj hai sangeet ki raat, qawwali ki raat, to kyu na ho jaye team dulha aur team Dulhan ke takraar.
Others: haan, we hui na baat, dekhe kisme kitna hai damn.
Samar: So Ladies First, baa aap ki team main kaun hoga pehle
Baa: Mera ladla, Vanraj
Bapuji: meri beti Anupama
Kavya: Baa please mujhe lo na
Baa: thik hai aa ja tu
Bapuji: Anuj
Baa: Paritosh
Bapuji: Samar
Samar: thanks cool dude…
And that’s how the teams were divided
Team Baa: Vanraj, Kavya, Paritosh, Kinjal, Pakhi, Mamaji
Team Bapuji: Anu, Anuj, Samar, Nandhini, Devika, GK kaka
Qawali round begins, team Baa starts with Baa singing for Bapuji ‘Salaame ishq meri jaa zara kubool kar lo tum humse pyaar karne ki zara si bhul kar lo mera dil bechain hai hum safar ke liye’
Team Bapuji turn and he sings ‘ae meri hozara jabi tujhe maloom nahi tu abhi tak hai haseen aur main jawa tujh pe qurbaan meri jaan meri jaan’
Team Baa, Vanraj sings next ‘Pardah hai Pardah hai, parda nashi ko be parda na kar du to Akbar mera naam nahi hai’
Team Bapuji’s turn Anuj (looking and thinking about Anu) starts sings ‘tumse milke dil ka hai jo haal kya kahe ho raha hai kaise ye kamaal kya kare’
They continue like this for some and conclude with both teams being the winner, after its about celebration and enjoyment. However, Kavya is not happy as she wanted to win over Anu and Anuj. She starts thinking how to make Anu lose and look bad, she recalls about the Janmashtami festival and plans something. She goes to her room and comes with a bowl containing few chits. She is happy with her plan, it would serve all her wishes as putting Anu down, give her a chance to close to Vanraj and show that this is her family.
Kavya: Qawali to ho gayi but sangeet abhi baki hai, so kyu na ab hai ek couple dance competition kare, mere pass ek bahut hi achcha idea hai
Baa thinks ab ye Maide ki katori kya soch rahi hai, par mana kiya to aur drama karegi, chalo haan kar deti hu. ‘thik hai bata kya karna ha’
Kavya: ‘Baa ye bahut hi mazedar competition hoga aap bas dekhti jaye. To is round ke participant hue baa-bapuji, V-main, Toshu-Kinjal aur Samar-Nandhini. Sorry Anupama but tum participate nahi kar paongi’
Anu this time wants to give back to Kavya and without even looking at Anuj says ‘main Anuj ke saath participate karungi’
Kavya: ‘to tum aur Anuj ek couple ho’
Anu: ‘Tum hi to Anuj ko mera boy friend bolti ho, to tumhe koi problem nahi honi chahiye. Aur Anuj aur mera Rishta kya hai ye hum jante hai aur hume kisi ko koi explanation nahi dena’
Anuj is awestruck listening to Anupama, he looks at her as if he couldn’t believe what he is hearing. He cannot contain his excitement and has a big smile on his face. GK who was standing next to him, gives him a nudge and says control man, control. Devika thinks wow Anu ye hui na baat, bas aise hi aage badhti jana.
Kavya thinks accept to kar liya ki tumhara Anuj ke saath chakar hai. Koi na, aage aage dekho tum participate kaise karogi, ye competition to main hi jeetungi. ‘Okay so shall we start’
Pakhi: ‘Are mujhe bhi participate karna tha, main kya karu’
Devika: ‘main hu na, hum dono participate karenge, hum kyu baithe rahe’
Kavya: ‘thik hai to ab main rules bata deti hu. Is bowl main kuch songs hai, har couple aayega aur ek chit pick karega. Jo song likha hoga, unhe us pe dance karna hoga jo sabse zyada time taky a phir song ke complete hone tak dance kare wo jeet jayega’
Samar: ‘Are waah, ye round to phir main aur Nandu hi jeetenge hum dono to ghanto tak dance karte hai’
Kavya: ‘Come on Samar, itna asan nahi hai pure rules to sun to. This is called ‘Touch and Dance’ matlab pure dance ke time tumhe apne partner ke saath touch main rehna hai. Touch kuch bhi ho sakta hai, hath pakdna, back to back, dono foot saath main, kuch bhi. Par har 10-15 sec main touch change hona bhi chahiye. Aisa nahi ki ek baar hath pakda to pur song ke end to choda hi nahi. Aur most important, song ke beech main baat karna ya ye bolna ki next touch kaise hoga is not allowed.’
Everyone is looking at there partners thinking ki ab ye kaise karenge. Anuj is massaging his neck and looking everywhere but at Anu. Anu is studying her feet and thinking ab ye kaise hoga.
Kavya reads everyone’s faces and says ‘so hain na ye ek dam mazedaar competition kaise laga mera idea. Mamaji aap judge honge aur sab ka time note karenge. V chalo hum dono start karte hai’
V is not interested but nonetheless agrees. Kavya moves to pick a chit from bowl but before she could do that Samar stops her.
Samar: ‘Kavya idea to achcha hai but songs sirf tumhari pasand ke kyu. Hum bhi apni pasand ke songs add karenge’
Samar, Nandhini and Pakhi write few more songs on some colored chits and put in the bowl. Kavya looks at the chit color and all are yellow, green, blue.
Kavya: ‘okay to main ek chit pick karti hu’. She goes and picks a pink color chit from bowl. Ye to main hi jeetungi, is pink chit main best song hai, jo bahut asan hai. Is liye to maine pink color ki ek hi chit dali thi and aur main first perform kar rahi hu. She hands the chit to Samar to play the song
Samar: ‘Ok so Kavya and Mr Shah will perform on Tip Tip Barsa Pani. Wow kavya kya song chuna hai, so big round of applause for Kavya and Mr Shah. Mummy next aap aur Anuj ki turn hogi so be ready’
Kavya thinks ye kaise ho gaya main to pink chit main dusra song likha tha. Ab kuch bol bhi nahi sakti, karna padega. She holds Vs hand and starts dancing, while Vanraj is not moving much Kavya tries to maintain touch.
Anu and Anuj both hearing they are next and the current song being played get conscious. They look at each other in eyes and as usual talk without uttering a word. They are thinking, next hum hai, are you comfortable, should we perform, or should we say no, then decide to perform and not back out.
V during the dance is looking at Anu and Anuj, gets jealous and in the jealously hits Kavya’s leg badly that she loses balance and falls.
Samar: ‘Oh Mr Shah ye kya kiya apne. Good attempt Kavya, mamaji time note kar dena. Next Anuj and Mummy’
Anu asks Anuj to pick a chit. Anuj looks at the bowl and pick pink chit, pink which is their color, his fav color on Anu. Samar takes the chit from Anuj and announces the song ‘Suraj hua madhyam Chand jalne laga’.
Kavya thinks ye to mera song tha, meri har cheej is Anu ko kaise mil jati hai, wo bhi Anuj ke sahare. Song bhale mera ho, tum Anuj ke saath dance to nahi kar paogi, jeetungi to main hi aaj.
Song starts playing, Anu and Anuj moves to the center. Anu goes into a trance, as it’s just the two of them and no one is around. Anuj is dressed in Black sheer kurta looking dapper as ever and she is dressed in pink saree with open hair. Anuj being Anuj is looking only at Anu and is unaware of the surroundings. He is very happy, excited and does even lip sync during the entire dance.
The dance starts with holding of right hand, then Anu turns and slowly changes to left hand. Then moving round comes behind Anuj with their back touching. Next, she comes to his side with shoulders touch. Then starting from top to bottom they alternate hand hold in sync. Then they keep the feet together and continue dance.
The perfect chemistry they have is seen in the dance. They fluidly move from one touch to another without a word or look. It’s as if they have been dancing like this since eternity, know each other’s move and can read their minds.
Song ends, everyone cheers and Anu comes out of her trance. Anuj and Anu both raises their hands in merriment and bow together. Everyone cheers for them except Vanraj, Kavya and Toshu. Baa is standing next to Bapuji, she looks at him and claps to please him.
Samar: ‘Wow Mummy, wow Anuj, kya dance tha. Mummy ka to pata tha, par Anuj aap bhi itna achcha dance karte hai aaj pata chala. Main aur Nandu ka to 10-10 bar practice ke bhi itna sahi coordination nahi hota.’
Anuj: ‘are mujhe nahi aata, ye to sab Anu ka hi kamaal hai.’
Anu is silent, she is trying to understand, what is happening with her. How could she dance like that with Anuj. Dance thik hai but how could she dream like that? How did she forgot the function, the surroundings and those dresses. What is happening with her, Anuj ka samajh aata hai but main kaise ye soch sakti hu. Kya ho raha hai mujhe.
Devika along with GK, takes Anuj is corner and tease him, ‘waah waah, tum dono to aise chipke hua to jaise ki fevicol, koi kitna bhi zoor laga de, par tumhe alag nahi kar sakta… waah waah.’
Next comes Pakhi and Devika, they dance on ‘Shut up and bend over, Touch it Touch it’.
Samar thinks, ye to best song hai, kash ye mujhe milta. Then Paritosh and Kinjal’s turn comes; Kinjal refuses to perform giving excuse as Mummy is already winner and she is not feeling well. Lastly, Samar and Nandhini perform on ‘Raataan Lambiyan Lambiyan’
Mamaji: ‘Waise main sabka time to note kiya tha par main bhool gaya’
Everyone exclaims their disappointment on his forgetfulness.
Mamaji: ‘par mujhe remember che, Winner hai Anupama aur Anuj. Wo un hone pure song pe dance to time kya matlab. So taaliya for winners - Anupama and Anuj’
Everyone celebrates. Kavya is pissed, she once again missed her chance to humiliate Anu. Vanraj is jealous seeing Anupama with Anuj. He wants to show Anuj that he still has control over Anupama.
Vanraj to Anu ‘bahut raat ho gayi hai and subah kitna kaam hai. Tum aaj raat yahi ruk jao, mujhe tumhari fikr hai’.
Kavya is furious but choose not a say anything in front of all.
Anupama: ‘koi zaroorat nahi hai, Anuj hai’. She actually meant Anuj hai uski Fikr karne ke liye but Vanraj didn't understand.
Vanraj: ‘mera matlab tha it’s not safe, chalo main tumhe drop kar deta hu’
Anupama: ‘maine kaha na Anuj hai. Wo mujhe drop kar denge.’ She says this without even looking at or asking Anuj.
Anuj hears this and is excited to hear her say that way.
Anupama: ‘Baa Bapuji chalti hu, jai shree Krishna.’ Then turns to Anuj and signals to leave. Anuj along with GK follows her out. So does Devika.
Once in Anuj’s car, GK says ‘Anuj, main bahut thak gaya hu. So Anu tumhe problem na ho to Anuj pehle mujhe drop karde’
Anuj: ‘GK, kya hua aap ko, aap thik hai, doctor pe pass chale warna, please tell me if you are feeling well or not’
Anu with concern ‘haan kaka, kya hua Kaka aap ki tabiyat to thik hai na.’
GK: ‘aisa kuch to nahi, are main to teenager hu. Wo kya hai teenager’s raat to time pe sote hai, to bas neend aa rahi hai’
Both feel relieved, drop GK first and then move towards Anupama house.
