now with the younger generation, with girls working, being independent, open minded and questioning of the old order, things will improve, fingers crossed.

also, many girls from a young age have seen their mothers, aunts, sisters compromise and adjust and accept that as the truth. secondly, they are instilled with the notion that keeping the family together is their responsibility and hence they also learn to keep quiet

The reality is still much horrifying. Yeah women are getting educated, independent... But what exactly are the numbers? Men are still dominant in every field. We just see a tiny part of society and consider that's life. It's all very middle upper class and even then things are extremely tough for women. In fact affluent areas have a worse sex ratio. In India there's a saying, you should die as a married woman rather than being a divorcee or widow. And it's still the dominant ideology.

A husband cheating can be the least horrible of problems for an indian woman. A di of mine said she wished her husband would have a mistress because of what she's facing in her bedroom.

They could have kept the grey shades, the jealous angry tirades against Tejo, but they diverted from that. Jasmine has been manipulative, while fateh has been supportive (as much as he can considering the mess he created) towards Tejo. Several incidents, scenes had no importance but to show that F is good at heart and he has feelings for Tejo. (Execution and story was pathetic imo, but that's what several scenes intended post ema).

Well if this is the redemption they were planning then good for them. This whole thing would have made some sense if he was not behaving the way he is now. All he comes across is a man who lusts for what he can't have. I don't call that whitewashing, I call that trash (but this might be what ITV audience considers redemption). Final nail will be when Tejo takes him back. Then people eagerly waiting for Fatejo can rejoice and I can say final bye bye to this trash show.

i agree with what you said. but hopefully one day we will haev a better society.

and bedroom horrors are never discussed. a women a taken for granted and she is expected to do everything that the husband asks for. its really sad.

Now probably I can understand why they gave us random Tejo shooting incident when even after that Fateh went back to having EMA. It was just to show us human side of Fateh unlike Jasmeen who is pure evil. Both reacted differently to the incident. Fateh was shown as worried, guilty and in pain for Tejo. Same happened during Jass phase, he could have easily excused himself from Tejo-Jass case but he still went ahead and helped her to get rid of Jass. The exam paper leak was another such case. Time and again they shown us his human, vulnerable, good side so that TRP audience is not completely alienated from him.

I am not TRP audience, I can never forgive Fateh. He not only cheated Tejo but also gaslighted her. He even tried to character assassinate her to hide his own guilty soul. He stoop so low in his quest of love that he butchered an innocent soul. I can never accept Fateh back in Tejo's life.

a lot of these aunties have seen/ faced such issues where the husband goes "astray" for sometime and then comes back, but usually without a lot of remorse.

so if they can show fateh in pain and crying and repenting, and then a nice love story, trp aunties will accept it.

. OMG NOOOO

I have kids around the same age as Jasmine and, I constantly worry about my daughter meeting a guy like Fateh. He is a mother's worst nightmare. I mean what is this guy worthy of ? He is not educated, he has no job, he can’t manage his own business, The only thing he can manage to do without help is to unbutton his shirt to show off his man cleavage. No darlings, most of us TRP aunties are fed up of our own husbands and wouldn't mind imagining a new guy in our own lives so why should we wish for tejo to go back to a nikkamma like phattu? Tejo has seen first hand what Fateh is capable of, how untrustworthy he is. She seems sensible enough to realise that Fateh’s washboard abs will turn into a beer belly in a few years and by then she will be looking after not only his family and the academy but their kids as well. I wish for Tejo to learn to fly solo with Angad’s help and if there is a TejAng along the way, this TRP aunty will give her blessings to their union.
