But I definitely consider her flawed character as she was least considered her self respect n tolerated all humiliation and tried to bcom gopi bahu.

I feel like Sona's grey shades are entirely in her ego. She is caring, but goes so overboard with it that it just becomes an interference. Even though she was rarely wrong, just having good intentions is not enough.

While turning off Dev's phone, the issue is not the possibility of an emergency. The issue is the blatant disregard for his privacy. Her intentions were golden and she wanted him to enjoy his time, but who gave her the right to touch his phone? Who is she to turn it off? I would be angry too if someone that worked at my house took the liberty to turn off my phone.

Same way, the whole Gopi bahu situation- nobody asked her to do those things. In fact, Dev explicitly told her that there's no need to become a TV serial bahu. But Sona kept continuously going out of her way to win Ishwari's favour, even if that meant ignoring Dev. She quit her job and stuck around the house saying "this family needs me" but darling who asked for your help? Going and trying to work on Neha's marriage was a terrible decision in my opinion, it's none of her business at all and very disrespectful to Neha.

The main issue with Sona is that she never thought or acknowledged she was doing anything wrong, in fact she expected everyone to behave the way she would behave. And that's what makes her human, and such a well written character

Totally agreed .

Personal space must be always respected

Touching others phones is a violation to privacy , intentions doesn’t count

There are no of occasions , where we must draw that line with any one let it be own children or partner

If trying to make person happy is grey then what would you call dev then, darkest black?😆. I never came across her as egoistic. Also, Sona was selfless n only wanted make dev spend some happy moments as she came across how he lost his childhood. Helping ppl to make them happy can never b grey. How do you call dev making her jobless n getting her as her mother servant then?.

In my life experience hardly ppl care for husband family. They are like husband family baad me jaaye. It was sona's effort to make herself fit into family as a good girl. She knew if esh don't like her, her relationship with dev wouldn't continue for long. I would definitely appreciate her effort. She didn't ignore dev. It was just one moment when esh asked about vrat. That is not big crime. It was dev ignored sona. How he punished her getting angry n not talking to her. I would hv agreed she was grey if her intentions were taking over Esh place in dev's life. But it was her efforts keep her relationship strong with dev. But she failed miserably is altogether diff thing.

Coming to Interfering neha, she has to. Bcoz her life got interfered by neha issue. Her honeymoon got cancelled. Why not try to fix it when no one trying to fix, atleast someone has to try. But she least knew dixits are so arrogant n egoistic don't want to give chance for ranveer. I felt for ranveer, he got worst partner in neha n in-laws as dixits.

I am sure sona would hv got bashed even more if she was least bothered about dixits. I just can't imagine she just care for bose family n ignore dixits. Actually dixits deserve such kind of DIL. Probably over the period, dev would hv developed distance from his mother n other family members. It's a natural husband gets more allttached to wife n start thinking like wife. But I would never like that sona.

But one thing for sure, ppl who don't like person, always finds fault in good thing also. It's a natural. In kzk2 too, when prerna was full pregnant n tried to save anurag, instead of appreciating her efforts fans tagged her as bad mother as she was least bothered about child. So, it's upto one person to see positive or negative things in one person.😆

What makes all the characters in the show special is that they're genuinely invested in the other person's happiness. Dev was obsessed with Sonakshi, and everything he did every day was just for her happiness. Even if he ignored her, he'd feel miserable about it and apologize. He could not bear for her to really be upset.

He lied about learning to do household things just so she would be happy, proud of him. He lied about her infertility just to protect her happiness. Are we going to pretend that was okay to do? It wasn't okay at all, but his intentions were just for her to be happy. Just because your intentions are good, it doesn't make your actions good as well, right?

As for interfering in Neha's life, why does she have to? It's Neha's life and Neha's problem that Neha will solve (if she wants) in her own way. It's not okay to force Neha to continue a relationship that she's unhappy in, that feeling of suffocation in her husband's 2 room house is understandable. She had a tough childhood, and there is real poverty trauma. I feel that by rushing the process and simply interfering, Sonakshi made the problem 10 times worse. Maybe if she had let it cool down on its own, and let Neha handle it- they would not have been divorced.

Sonakshi’s interferences in Neha’s problems lead to more troubles even though her intentions were good !

Neha is an adult and could left it as it is , putting our head every where is not really good

Especially when Sona KNEW how Neha is as a person, why would you even get into it? Look, if it was Nikki THEN I’d understand. Sona and Nikki were very close right from the start & Sona treated her as her own sister. She didn’t have that bond with Neha and Neha is crib Kumari personified. Interfering in her life was plain stupidity. Dev doesn’t even interfere in Neha’s life without talking to her or their mother first, because he knows how she is.

Why will you invite some rando from the road into your house? Especially if that random person is your sister-in-law's ex husband?

Does Neha not have the freedom to be happy or unhappy or make decisions in her own marriage? Who is Sona to dictate when she should be ready to speak to Ranveer?

Also I really don't think she fell out of love with Ranveer- especially not because of amenities. Neha grew up extremely poor, and Ranveer lives in a 2 room house with 5-6 people. After marriage, she was transported back to the trauma of her childhood, having to forego her comfort and dreams to take care of a family. Why should she live a life like that? She has every right to leave when she realised that's not the life she hoped for.

Sonakshi was blind and blatantly disrespectful to other people's values, their circumstances, their privacy. The Dixits didn't come from the same comfortable background that she came from, their way of reacting to situations might not have been right, but it's because of their situation not because they're bad people. Sonakshi never bothered to understand these circumstances, actually none of the characters did.

That way, so many things Dev did was with selfless intention to help, not to hurt. But an action can simultaneously help someone and hurt someone else- like when he broke up with Sonakshi to make his mother happy. Dev was impulsive and messy- that's who he is, Sonakshi is sensible and sorted- that's who she is.

Sona inherited a lot of traits from Bijoy , in the series they kept telling or highlighting that both Dev & Sona are equally “ siddi ” as if it is a great trait to possess

It was a union of Mama’s boy and Pappa’s princess and it was destined to fail .

There were a lot of short coming from both characters despite they fell deeply in love !

They struggled it was the beauty of the story in S1

Neha thought that love was the only factor for a sustainable relationship, which in reality, is not. That’s why she got married to Ranveer. There are basic, practical compromises needed to lay a foundation for a happily married life. Neha didn’t have a problem with Ranveer’s family. She just didn’t have her privacy, starting with her wedding night. She understood. Karte karte karte, just so many factors played and things happened that she realized that love wasn’t enough. The experiences took her back to her own childhood where she didn’t have a single luxury. When Sona went to her family for a few days on Bhai Dooj, Dev got super restless and wanted to bring her back immediately. Neha even said at that point “Bhai itna restless ho rahe hain bhabhi ke bina and Ranveer ne ek call tak ni kiya”. She just wanted those little efforts that Dev & Sona DID put for each other even when they were in disagreement. I don’t blame Neha in this, I do think therapy would’ve done her good, she’s traumatized.
