Even I mentioned some of those points earlier , she was so focused putting her opinion taught only her family was the best .

She forgot to listen Dev’s perspective many times , after marriage .

In marriage we co exist without trying to control other person that is called a healthy marriage .

We can’t or shouldn’t try to change our partner it lead to an unhappy marriage where one person suffer .

Both Dev & Sona always gave importance to their respective family than their own marriage & the family they both are going to create .

There are a lot of areas , I am surprised to see a person with diff perspective like mine

😂😂😂..

Yes! Dev literally slept for 3 hours a night, just because he’d keep working at night so he could spend his days with Sona.
If Ishwari was toxic, so was Bijoy. The beauty of this show is literally that EVERYONE had their flaws.
Dev and Sona were individually always on different radars that were individually right too. What drew me to them were them trying to understand each other and work on their own selves to make their relationship grow. For me, Dev and Sona’s appeal as a pair lay in their conflicts. Both were flawed and their dynamic was raw and uncompromising. It made you think rigorously. Again, S1 stuff. The two different individuals who fell in love and chose to work on this relationship bcz it made them happy, they weren’t meant to be, but they made themselves meant to be through the constant efforts for each other.

Like switching off Dev's phone, enforcing Dev not to have seven coffee daily as Ishwari complained her (I know both are a part of humanity but it's not her job too) then gradually she developed into a well balanced individual who is an inspiration to many.

B - Same opinion. Hina is an average actress and Aamna is a lot better than her. But still, she is better than Sana's performance as Sanjana. I have seen Sana's Krishndasi where she was so good. Don't know what is wrong with her.

@bold, If sona was not doing such small things to improve dev, then there is no story to tell. I dont consider them as flawed. Her personality is such that she tries improve ppl around her. As long as her action doesn't harm someone, it is ok to do so.

But I definitely consider her flawed character as she was least considered her self respect n tolerated all humiliation and tried to bcom gopi bahu.

Exactly. There is no story to tell. But somewhere it affects the other individual too. Like what if Dev get some emergency call at that time and Sona switched off the phone...

Regarding self respect and tolerance I don't know if she did was right or wrong. Maybe right because, it induced a positive change in Dev and Ishwari if we forget S3. Maybe wrong as well

Result was that Dev started lying to her (again, not justifying his lies, but I can understand where he came from, he just always wanted Sona to be happy).

If dev had confessed in the beginning that he will not do, sona wouldn't hv forced him. It was sona kindness n tried to make esh free from son's job. Also, such things would make dev less dependent on esh. She only tried to mend, such action you can not call it grey

Actually sona should hv been irritated, when esh touching cupboards where she too keeps her clothes. There was hardly privacy for her. Ullu ka patta dev, hardly respected wife's requirement. He just assumed she is fine. And sona darling all f9 with that😈

You just reminded me how esh locks cupboards n takes keys away. What an episode it was n how esh was possessive abt dev things..😆

But that phone is the not the only phone at home. In emergency case, there are means to contact. They can call on landline or someone else's mobile.

Personally I consider it as wrong. Sona never tried to tell esh or dev, their actions hurting her. If she had explained both dev n esh(together n seperately), I think they would hv mended things. They are not bad ppl. But sona didnot even tried once stopping humiliation from dixit family. All she does is tolerating. Post leap, dev n esh mended their ways bcoz she was not bending to them. I believe it's in our hand to get respected.

Sona could’ve also put in perspective that doing household chores isn’t on Dev’s priority list, like it isn’t on many men’s. Dev just liked spending time with his family/Sona in particular because she was his only friend. Sona had Saurabh, Elena, her parents. Dev didn’t. He only had Sona. I just find it unfair to put the blame on Dev. He just wanted Sona to be happy, that’s it.

Sona wasn’t into fasting & all, yet she observed the Navratri fasts & dev got angry saying why are you fasting if you don’t want to etc. etc. then Sona said I wanted to do myself (after another drama). Sona wasn’t into cooking, Dev never told her even once to cook because they have the luxury to have a help. She learnt it because she wanted to, not because dev told her.

but in what way was it correct to go to Ranveer’s house and talk to his Bhabhi without talking to Dev, Ishwari or even Neha first? I know she did it out of goodwill, but it backfired and dixits had ANOTHER reason to be pissed of at Sona. She knew that she was getting unnecessarily taunted again and again so why even give them a reason to do so. I would definitely be pissed off if I had a fight with my S/O & my bhabhi (whom I don’t have a great bond with) would talk to my husbands fam without consulting me first. It’s a matter of perspective and that’s what I mean with all of the characters were flawed.

Folding clothes is 10 mins job. He could do chatting with sona. They would hv got good time together. My point was that doesn't make sona grey. It won't harm anyone. If dev said in the beginning he will not do, I don't think she will take stick n make him do like teacher.

2nd para, again sona was in the race of winning best bahu. Because she thought if she is in good books of esh, her relationship with dev will b easier. But that again you cannot call it grey. Come on.. And she made up for that taking him to resort.

For me grey character is someone who hurts other person. Like dev taking away sona's job n esh plotting keep sona away from dev. And post leap, dev humiliating sona, that starters won't sustain longer. And taking away her award n disrespecting bejoy calling him Mr.bose. such actions comes under grey for me.

I will not call dev grey before leap after he fell in love with sona. Whatever happened it was purely bcoz dev was weak. He couldn't stand for wife infront of mother. Dev turned grey post leap and again after sona helped him, he againfell for her n bcom positive.

But that action didnot hurt anyone life right. Since no one was taking initiative, she tried her best to make up. But she least knew that will backfire as dixits are too arrogant n didnot even bother to value her kindness.

Tell me something, after marriage do we take permissions by husband for every action? Atleast not me😆.

And definitely sona is flawed being too good to people. But definitely not grey. It's individual perspective I would hv liked sona if she didn't even tried to mend neha ranveer relationship. I am glad sona was not kind of girl who is least bothered about husband family n tried her best considering husband family as her family.

I never saw Sonakshi as a damsel in distress here because the writers never tried to project the FL as a mahaan devi or a one man army. She had her flaws but she was obviously a lot more sorted than Dev or Ishwari. Dev in fact wasn't even the quintessential hero we see on Indian TV. Usually, the male leads on TV are toxic/MCPs & then they fall in love & they magically turn into prince charming until the next conflict. Or they are sweet goody shoes perfect guys who are blackmailed later on or misunderstand or are a victim of circumstances. Dev wasn't any of that. He never followed that usual graph. Neither was Sona the usual FL who was all sanskari & cried at the drop of a hat. It's what made Kuch Rang special. I wouldn't call it a perfect show but it was really good & had a lot of brilliant moments & I will never regret watching S1. It truly was one of a kind on Indian TV ❤️
