Yes, he doesn't like being called friend, but he has no choice at the moment and he kind of understood what Aai told him. Though they care for eachother so much, the relationship is just hanging by a thread and he knows if he stretches it too much or doesn't give time to Sai to realize there might be no relationship left.

Yes that is what I feel. That is the reason also he keeps getting frustrated by just being there as friend or gaurdian. He sees her as wife all the time!! This friendship also will throw him off soon. In one of the episodes he worried that in his desire to convey his love for her, he might end up losing her friendship too. It is going to happen I guess...

Yes I wrote the same in my review. His feelings are tangential to what Aai asked them to be. 🤣 He will break sooner or later. He could not hide also, first chance he got he jumped into flirting mode.
