Agree that religious symbols aren't meant to be used just coz they seem 'cool' or fashionable/trendy.

I would rather not want someone to wear Om only coz its cool unless the person connects with what it resonates and stands for. But there's no way I would know how that person feels n thinks..so main kya hi bolu..

Ab agar Ananya aapki advice padh ke implement kare to theek hai..na bhi kare to kya kar sakte hai

What does a person's name have to do with it? There are enough converts who keep their birthname. There are enough Christian Arabs/Pakistanis/etc. who have names that are considered Muslim. Likewise there are enough Christian Indian's with names that would be considered Hindu. A person's name need not reflect their religion.

Bombay can be very laissez-faire about religion. Everyone celebrates all holidays. It is not uncommon for people to have religious icons and symbols of other religions at your home. I wouldn't think too much about this.
