The defense has the right to presumed innocence, bail, and the ability to work with their lawyers on their side of the story as a free person unless convicted.

There is a reason we have legal proceedings instead of making an arbitrary judgment by statements released by either party. A lot being said on both sides is preliminary and has to go through the trial process that scrutinizes the claims and their legal standings.

The larger question for Indian society as a whole is - should we continue to treat marijuana a non-habit-forming, relatively non-toxic, substance that may have therapeutic benefits and is being legalized over the world as illegal? Just a little over 30 years ago, it was completely legal in India. And it is one of the most prolifically used drugs. I bet that there are dozens of people we all know who habitually or occasionally use it.

You cannot deny a person their legal right to bail to coerce information. Even local dealers are often far removed from the cartels, let alone allegedly recreational users.

I would also say that 2988 kg of heroin probably merits far more attention than a few grams of weed. I mean even if it was a few kilos of weed the heroin should take precedence.

Exactly what everyone should be asking. What did the court see to deny bail? And instead of blindly accepting the court's decision as legal and binding we should question and probe why someone's legal right to bail is being denied. The system is supposed to have checks and balances. Today you stand by and accept someone being stripped of their rights - tomorrow you or your loved ones could be stripped of their rights. Always question when due process is not followed, especially by those in power.

I don’t drink and I’ve live in countries where alcohol is illegal … can’t count how many times in WhatsApp groups made for arranging a party, I’ve said “I’ll bring the booze”

Or similar stuff… in groups where people know I don’t drink they jokingly tag me and say stuff like “ oh justwatching will take care of the alcohol”

I routinely say things like “I need some of what y’all are smoking”

“I need a 🥃 “

“🍻 “

And what not….

does that mean all of this can be used against me to build a case or keep me in jail…. Even if they don’t recover any booze from my home or my blood reports are clear…?

This is monitoring of citizens who were found clean, just to “find something” until it sticks….

To go through their phone contacts to find if they know someone who can be linked to any suspicious to be able to hold that innocent person longer…. This is not justice or breaking up a nexus… this is setting a terrible precedent…

What’s happening to aryan can happen to anyone of us… people who celebrate and egg on this extreme bullying forget that it will always trickle down and can reach them and become a norm….

there are examples in history … and tbh it seems people don’t learn from it

No one is happy. At least not me. I don't give much sh*t about Aryan & SRK. It's just that everytime there is some card to play. For e.g. Kid card, Muslim Card like seriously.

23 year old people get enrolled into forces and die for nation they are not kids.

Where does this sense goes when we are fed with their daily chores articles, pictures etc. ?
