Which scene in a movie stuck with you?

I have had many moments while watching a movie, where I am suddenly handed a precious life lesson while least expecting it. There are lines and scenes that have stayed with me, long after I have forgotten the rest of the plot.

Some examples below -

Why that one special rishta? Zindagi mein kayi special rishte hote hain. Alag alag ehsaason ke liye, alag alag rishte. Romantic rishta is just one of them. Ab yeh saare ehsaason ki zimmedaari ek rishte pe dal dein - that’s unfair no?

The end of ADHM .

The scene in Chandni Bar where Tabu tries to raise bail money for her son who was arrested on false charges. She agrees to sell her body for a few thousands . The men bargain because she's too old to be compensated well, only young enough to be fcuked. She quickly recovers from the sadness and helplessness she feels initially about having to make that decision , and hopes she gets a few more clients so that the amount could be raised that night. That she doesn't have the privilege of mulling over the loss of her dignity reminds us how vulnerable people can be and that we should never be arrogant about things like chastity or sexual virtue because there are people who can't afford those. That there's a kind of bluntness to the way tragedy hits those who are perpetually vulnerable. That we should never underestimate the role luck plays in our lives . What was also interesting about the scene was the way womanhood was elevated and degraded at the same time. On one hand Mumtaaz ,as a mother , commands respect from us( not just sympathy) by trying to protect her son selflessly. On the other she's reduced to a commodity that isn't worth much.

Oh my God, this one video has just terrified me. Right from the woman selling herself to another young girl dancing for drunk men to the boy getting sodomized in jail. I… just don’t know what to say 💔

I had heard this movie Chandni Bar, mentioned many times through the years but never realised it was such a hard hitting drama.

I felt this dialogue to my very bones. When SRK skips right past my comments and replies to an attention-seeking lying fan who claims it’s his birthday and wants SRK to wish him, then I comfort myself with this dialogue. 🤧

No scene in any movie could be ever as hard hitting as this one.
