Is a woman always at a man's mercy?

I really love Anuj in the show but I don't like how the makers are showing it. They could have easily shown Anuj's entry after Anupama was successful and financially established. But NO!

Many women in the world have become financially, mentally and emotionally independent WITHOUT a man. But here they have to show a man as support as without him a woman cannot thrive. They had to show a man helping in a woman's udaan. They showed Anupama coming out from Vanraj's feet but they had to show Anuj as the knight in shining armour. The most sick thing of all the makers have shown is that Anupama needs a man for her financial problems. They could have easily shown Devika helping her but no they had to show Rakhi Dave nonsense so Anuj can make his entry and help with the money.

So at the end the makers had to show a woman can't have any guidence, success, flight or be rich without a man's mercy! If they have shown Anupama taking one step forward they have also shown that their mindset is still ten steps back.

Itv audience needs more drama and action for them if they only show women journey it's becomes boring it's not makers fault society as whole and audience whole who watches drama and action more rather than independent women which show is there which don't start from marriage idhar to show start bhi marriage ke baad hi hota hain here atleast she is standing on her feet ya anuj is giving him opportunity but that anyway any one else would have also given but then the impact with audience will not be have that I never wanted anyone for Anupama always thought she can be alone and lead her life before anuj entre not inchange why she also deserve sucess but love and partner also after waht she went through . Itv is still lagging to show only women journey women are shown with kitchen politics saving there husband from goons and from sautan also

I agree even I would love to see this if the track was executed in this way anupama becomes successful and then anuj comes anuj says usko kisi ki saath ki zarurat nahi hai then I don't know why makers are trying that she cant do anything without devika and anuj help 🤪 Makers needs trp and drama that's it.

I know, such a good point. They could have shown as she completing her education or opening Cafe and becoming successful.

Anuj meeting after that and then falling in love would have been so beautiful 😍.

If she now becomes successful it will always be attributed to Anuj. She was infact not even going to pitch her idea, bapuji and kinjal forced her.

Additionally if Anuj didn't have feelings for Anupamaa she probably didn't stand a chance for this partnership.

You got a very good point. But it's ITV, can't expect much. The least I expect right now was she leaving Shah house and not giving Kavya job. But all they show is she a mahaaan doormat

For me, I think Anupama’s flight began when she stepped out of her house for a job at school. She soared high in the sky when she opened a dance academy as dance had been her passion. The execution hadnt been proper but I think that is when she took her “udaan”. Idk why they are referring to this sudden partnership as udaan but her flight started long ago. Its just another feather in her cap.

Why Anuj and his partnership then? Because even when she took the flight she didn’t explore anything outside those invisible boundaries she has set for herself. All words no action. Devika and Anuj gave her the push to stand by her words. Why she needed the push?

All talk about moving on and she is still at her “ghosla” making food and taking care of her ex-husband and his new wife🤡

She comes running to help her abusive ex-husband and thinks the emotional abuse her ex-MIL throws at her is love. Bapuji never understood what’s right for her. He was selfish. So are others in the house. They never realised how toxic it is for her to stay there. Because she is reverting to her weak ways. Like a candle amidst a storm.

Devika gave her the courage and Anuj is a helping hand not the guide tbh. Anuj said earlier Anupama’s idea was good but too emotional. He said his team would decide.

Also, IMO if not for working with him which now has tied her to him for 2years atleast because of the money she took from his company, Mahaan Anupama would’ve bailed out after some gyaan by her Baa and ex-pati. So everything is now tying her dor with him so that she can’t back out that easily after being manipulated and trying to be mahaan🥱

Totally she is all talk talk talk but no actions. Her dance academy was actual step.

Anuj and Devika are merely not supporting but are almost dragging her forcefully ahead. Still she is going only backward in that ghosla..and today hugging selfie with vanraj.

She is getting such a golden opportunity on platter due to Anuj and now she even ruined that with getting Kavya in.

It's pretty regressive showing woman herself can't do it unless a guy romantically likes u.

I am so glad somebody finally pointed this out. Why is it necessary that always a woman would need a man to be successful? Agreed Anupama did do hard work but this whole opportunity just fell into her lap. I would have liked it more if it would have been something like Anupama was already working with some woman on her idea on a small scale and then looking at them Anuj would have given her the chance if Anupama's first flight would have been something that she took alone. Don't get me wrong Anuj has my heart and that is the only reason for which I am watching this show right now. But this plight should have been all Anupama and having Anuj by her side made it even better.

Totally totally agree. At the end of the day it's the numbers that matter and ITV can't think beyond love story and kitchen politics. The makers are trying to balance it real well and lets hope it stays the same.

Loved each of your perspectives questioning the makers for making it seem that a woman can't make it big on her own.

My two cents. By defying Baba Yaga she took a stance to go ahead with the divorce. The discovery of the EMA snapped her ties with Vanraj that is why however much Kavya tries Anupama is not provoked to feel jealous.

When she resumed teaching, when she managed the fire episode despite pressure from family her goodness wins and her voice for the safety of children is heard.

When she is diagnosed with cancer, the way she battles and fights back shows her resilience.

When baapuji gives her an equal stake in the house it is an acknowledgement that she is the glue that holds the family together and has an equal share in the family's wellbeing.

The cafe idea and efforts she put to support the father of her children shows her mahanta/ tolerance/ harbouring no I'll will.

She failed in detecting the fraud. The family taunts were never ending. She did cry helplessly but was not broken. Her struggle in all this was all by herself. She did not believe she was capable of inspiring others.

Anuj arrives. It is the Shahs who want him as their backer. She makes the pitch with no hope of success.

Anuja team choose her idea. While she stood by the shahs whenever Vanraj was low, the family is divided. The man and his mother as always undermined her. When all else failed they cast aspersions on her character.

Devika points out the larger picture the empowerment of women like her and she agrees.

She began her flight as a lonely kite. Now Anuj has made her the face of the project. A flock of geese gains momentum from the synergy of the flock. They in rotation lead the flock and support the weary.

This phase sees her take others along unlike the cooking or dance Academy venture.

Anuj is just the angel investor. Otherwise it is an army of women involved. I know how it feels to lead and take with you women who have this far not been heard.
