Macchar man...

Shiva had been confusing her for a couple of days now. And not the usual oh god what crazy thing is he going to do next state of part wonder, part confusion that he loved letting her languish in... This was a Shiva? Is Shiva really doing that, but why? state of complete and utter befuddlement she was in. And the worst part? He refused to acknowledge it!!! Not even to make fun of her!!! So out of character, just as she'd said it.

She lay awake in their room, swatting away those annoying summertime mosquitoes and wondering what his latest antic could have been about. Since when had Shiva begun to refuse food? And that too kheer made especially for him. By Dhara di. He walked into the room, and thankful for her position on the bed, she quickly closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. As he laid down on his gadda beside her, Raavi couldn't help but let her mind drift back to her current issue. Him. At least he hadn't stared at her during the latest round of his confuse Raavi game. Of course she'd noticed all the staring. Knowing Shiva, there was going to be some completely wicked reason to what he was doing. And the staring made her feel wierd as well. Warmth tingling everywhere, fluttering butterflies in her belly.

She continued her sleeping act as she heard him mutter, "Kya kar raha hain Shiva? Kuch aur baare main soch...." Well, they seemed to have similar doubts then, kya kar raha hain Shiva? And then he went on about Rishita and Dhoni, and just as she felt a tickling sensation on her cheek, he muttered something about mosquitoes. Mosquito? She stayed still, wondering what confusing thing he would do now. And he really didn't disappoint. He never did.

A minute later, as he apologised to her, stuttering his way through the macchar that had been occupying her cheek a moment ago, rubbing gentle circles against her skin in an attempt to soothe her, Raavi felt it again. Warmth everywhere, butterflies awakening in her belly, and a tingling sensation at every point his rough, warm skin touched hers.... And as his eyes flickered from her cheeks to her eyes to her lips, that sixth sense every woman had knocked her one. And it clicked. She had been right. Wicked, wicked reasons.

She turned her cheek into his palm as he froze, before muttering a quick "Oye macchar man, neend aa rahi hain mujhe, sone de!", before grabbing her pillow and turning to sleep in the same direction as him, facing him. Well, she had her moments too, really. Her husband the Macchar man though... Sigh...

PS I know this isn't exactly what you wanted, but I re watched the scene and his feelings for her seem to be a mix of attraction and affection more than actual like at that point... And then this happened... Hope you like it....
