Well Vedika ka I m not gonna talk about but family wala part seems to me some sort of daddy issue...

Like small boy looses his mother very young and dad marries again but the child is not really included in family anymore...Dad keeps saying take care of them, love them they are ur family blah blah and step mom pretends to be good but step family don't actually love him...Then daddy dies too and the love them take care of them no matter what becomes a last wish from the person who was actually family...and now its a deep rooted thing... nobody must ever have said to that boy take care of urself too, so that doesn't even register...its a obsessive take care of family for dad, no matter how many times they reject him, makes him feel outsider... Catering to their every whim no matter what, is his responsibility, since dad wanted him to be family with them and take care of them...

This is what I think is happening and that's why no matter how much the friends love him or try to stop him from dancing to their tunes, it doesn't work....Ram family k sath jitna doormat sa hai, it seems a deep seated childhood issue....I think we can totally blame this on the late father of his...

Vedika wala one sided love could be a by product of this mentality only....be the time he met her, he was too used to just giving and giving without getting anything back I m sure...

But the main topic here is why is Ram so desparate for love that he cannot put bad behavior by these people straight even though he is the head of his family and Vedika is nothing special at all. I think this is beyond his character trait and something to do with his past, I mean we don't know at this point what his relationship was with his real parents or how he actually met Vedika.

I feel like he does not expect better? something that keeps coming up is Ram is seen as the stepbrother -- they have never accepted him as just their brother and son. He on the other hand has accepted them from his heart but he knows they have not. So maybe he is more tolerant of that?

I do wonder why ITV keep showing such families other than they generate lots of masala to write 500 eps. Why not show families with step-children/half-children getting along and having normal relationships and fights? Or show realistically, how these families go on this journey to become a family? Especially in this day, when we are seeing more re-marriages after divorce, there are going to be more blended families.

I feel like it also has something to do with his father. Maybe his father was also an emotional fool which is why he said smth like he hopes he is making his father happy. That would mean that even after Priya comes in he would be the same. I hope it doesn't turn out like S1 where they spoilt their daughter way too much
