Ahh, I get you. Many people quit after Ravish angle was brought in. Post ViTharv's separation, hardly anything was tolerable, but somehow ShiVik kept churning out brilliant performances; and when an actor rises above the script, they have a fan in meš The script got unbelievably shitty, but ViTharv still manged to make me feel the butterflies, so I was very much invested. Plus, the fandom was too amazing to miss out onš
Pre separation was really a treat with sublime writing & ViTharv's "off the charts" sort of chemistry. And I have a track record of falling in love with the trope of soulmates, from SaMud to ViTharv. The depth of their bond and how they embodied the oft-abused/cliched soulmate trope like no other couple sealed the deal for me. I couldn't ever give up on the show because I wanted to see if writers do justice to ViTharv, whether they go beyond what Radha-Krishn could be - soulmates AND life partners.
The end was definitely worth the ride for me, because the writing team never let compromised on their USP- Vitharv, even if the side characters were thrown in the gutterš
Absolutely, the contrast between the mother-son bond is so wild, just shows how change in attitude towards life can transform everything around you.
Be it this show or JNDSD, these makers seem to have a penchant for third angles, otherwise who dedicates a whole song for a third wheel?? Unbelievableā¦
You know this is what I donāt get about ITV shows, they build a beautiful relationship between the leads and show a character graph/growth which the audience end up connecting with. Then one fine day they forcefully introduce a new unwanted/unrelated character to the lead characters and story and toss all the progress out the window. Ravish character was insufferable with him moping around all the time. At the cost of making him the penultimate symbol of sacrifice, they butchered vividhaās character, made her character questionable. Then to rectify that mistake they brought that stupid atharv being jealous and questioning her character track. Just watching random episodes were unbearable for me. A cliched, yet beautiful love story butchered beyond belief. Though I agree that the leads had an amazing chemistry and the portrayal of the characters was exactly like a real couple in love, both emotionally and physically.
For me personally if thereās no meaningful story, then no matter how good the actors are the show becomes redundant. I actually watched this show a few years after it was over. Honestly kuch rang is the only show I have watched while still on air. Otherwise I never watch an on-air ITV show, saves me a lot of time and positive energy. In my opinion and experience, only the first 100 episodes of ITV shows are worth even giving a shot at watching, even then I read the plot story before and decide if itās worth my time or not. After that itās all trp game.
Also just so you donāt misunderstand me, when I said I like all 3 characters, I meant A, V and Sš
