Not going to lie, I think this divorce track is very poorly written. We only ever get to see one side of the story (Shiva's) and barely get any type of emotion/thought/feelings from the other side (Raavi's). I don't need Raavi to be in love with Shiva. She dealt with many, many things, and loving a man this early, especially after spending years loving his brother, is wrong. However, I wish we had some glimpse into her mind. Even something as simple as, "I'm only staying here because he's my ticket to stay in the family. Why should I love/care for him when he doesn't do any of that for me?" would have been better, and as their divorce progressed, those thoughts could slowly be broken away by the small things he could have done, for example:
—During the matka episode, instead of Shiva being distracted by Gautam and his family (because I'm not really enjoying how his own family doesn't understand his emotions or thoughts), I would've much rather he been distracted by Raavi which caused him to lose. Afterwards, while celebrating, Raavi could've overheard a conversation between Shiva and his friend about how Shiva was distracted by Raavi, and this could've changed her mind about the possibility of him having no interest in her
—After the baingan episode, Shiva could've been searching in the kitchen for extra baingan because he liked the curry a lot more than he initially expected, and Rishita could've teased him about it. Raavi could've overheard the entire conversation with a smile on her face because she never thought there would be a day where Shiva appreciated her.
—School track... It's been a couple of days, but I hope they bring it back with full vengeance. I want to see a track where Shiva drops Raavi off at school, and Raavi is worried about the reactions her new classmates will have for Shiva (especially since her old friends treated him poorly), but becomes pleasantly surprised when her new friends (boys and girls alike) are astounded by Shiva as they saw him at the store previously. It could be a moment where Shiva's self-confidence builds (I want his self-confidence to be built by Raavi and others)
—During the episode where Shiva sleeps near the door because he thinks Raavi will be afraid... I wish Raavi woke up in the middle of the night for water and sees Shiva sleeping, slightly shivering. And I wish she walked over to him and placed a blanket over him, whispering a silent thank you for sleeping near the door, instead of on the bed, just to keep her company.
—The moon and haldi episode... again, wish they spent the entire night talking. It doesn't have to be of anything of substance... I just wanted them to talk freely without any expectations, a moment where they could be themselves because that is when the softness, the tension, and the angst come about.
Had they done some of this, it would've been a stellar track!
