Hey fellow ZDMN fans.

So Hindi is not my first language, so I wanted to know the meanings of some words and their usage. The words are used by Sanju in the show. So help with an explanation please 🙏

1. Boranta???

2. Chirkut?

3. Jo rukk gaya, woh tukk gaya. What is tukk?

TIA for the explanations 😃

Boranta Idk clearly, but chirkut is like a cheap person, and kind of refers to insects? Like cockroach and all. And thukk gaya is basically colliding with something or getting pushed over in that context ig.

I don't know why i was thinking that chirkut probably means something like shorty... 🤣 and tukk had a death connotation 🤣 zero idea about boranta though 🤔

Hey!

So, I don't really know the literal meaning of the first 2 words even though Hindi is my first language but what I can tell you is the meaning just based on the context in which they are used:

1. Boranta/Bauranta or however it's spelt is Crazy. Sanju uses it to imply "You've gone mad". Also, my guess is that it's probably a regional slang which is why maybe I've heard it for the first time and it's not as common.

2. Chirkut: Idiot

The literal meaning is a cheap person or torn cloth piece but usually, it's used as a slang.

3. Jo ruk gaya, wo thuk gaya: Whoever stops, gets shot

It seems to be a different way of saying "Nazar hati, durghatna ghati"

Hope this helps!

So it's not Hindi, right? It's some regional language.

Thank you so much. This absolutely makes sense in the show context 😃😃
