More convincing track leading to PriRa's wedding was required

Well we all want PriRa to be together but I feel the scenarios leading to PriRa's marriage for their family could have been written even better with stronger plot points. I mean yes, akki keeps this condition in front of Ram of not getting married before Priya. Even though it is uderstandable that Priya has done a lot for Akshay, and in ep10 it is clear that Priya's mom is also upset and worried regarding Priya's marriage but Priya can easily make Akshay understand that why she is against wedding and does not want to marry anybody especially not get married in a rush on the basis of a condition. Priya is fighting with Ram and telling him that she will sort it but cvs should have included some scene Priya trying to convince to Akki and mother regarding her stance.

I still think Akki made this condition mainly to buy time from Ram as he initially also didn't want to marry Shivina and want to establish himself first as an actor. But what was even more bizzare is that even when there was pregnancy scare, then too all these people are upholding a verbal condition made by Akki. I mean one would think that Shivina and Akki's families would just get them married inspite of his condition not being fulfilled (though now a moot point as it was a false alarm) but Nandini goes to ask Priya's rishta instead and also when Ram gets the idea he too goes to propose Priya. I agreed with Priya's statement there that Ram should talk to Akki and not propose her also that they don't need to marry if Shivi is pregnant becoz if that was true then akki would have to take shivi's responsibility irrespective whether Priya gets married or not. Also I could not understand why Nandini was not telling Ram about Shivina's pregnancy??

But now since this entire pregnancy thing was a scare Ram is still adamant to marry Priya for Shivina's sake and Priya also seems to open her mind about her marriage seeing her mother's worries. I really loved the precap for Monday as I really want PriRa to know each other a bit before marriage but I really wanted even more impactful track from writers which could have led to PriRa's wedding especially when both these characters are so rigid about marriage or love. I am not saying what they have shown is illogical but there was many ways to sort it out without PriRa's wedding and in my mind it wasn't as if there was option for them instead of marrying each other.

I don't actually remember in what circumstances Priya and Ram got married in S1. Was it similar to S2 circumstances??

Yes similar situatiom in S1 for Ram-Priya to get married. Ram-Priya in S1 got married due to Ram's sister who was in love with Priya's younger brother and it was more dramatic there becos Natasha attempt suicide and Ram loves his his sister more than his life and he accepted to marry Priya for his sister

In S2 same situation but its more subtle the condition is still valid but Ram-Priya are going to meet each other in real arrange marriage set up by meeting each other on a date setup and than agree for marriage even though both are doing it for their love of their respective families

Personally I am okay with it. Only because we were shown that scene in the rain where Priya laughs at his dumb joke and it is implied that they would already be a good match who think decent thoughts about each other.

Also it kind of seems like the condition of Akki is secondary. Even in Ram's proposal he is like "you are going to get married eventually, why not to me?". Kind of like when adults after an age just give up and get married due to society pressure (of course not ideal but I will take this instead of OTT drama).

He also seems to at least subconsciously realize that they would be a good match as he doesn't correct Akki when he says the same. To me this is more realistic then the usual forced marriages.

For those that watched S1 did Priyas brother and Ram's sister eventually get married?

That's so good to hear! I also think that is very realistic. Here Akki and Shivi are so young and can be a bit immature at times. Especially in the first few episodes! It would be adorable to have Priya and Ram try to resolve issues between Akki and Shivi and accidently fall in love with each other!

I can already imagine situations where Priya is giving the example of her and Rams relationship to solve Akki and Shivis problem. Maybe something like "Aur Ram itne sare kharate maar ta tha. Lekin meine ek baar kahan aur tab se iski sari kharate bhag gayi. Is liye communication bohot zaroori hota hai kisi bhi relationship mein" and Ram is like "Kya matlab itne sare kharate maar ta tha. Ek raat ki toh baat thi aur jo tum-" and their nok jhok commences. I dunno that is probably a bad example of a scene but something similar to that!

Even I was wondering the same... how can they(CVs) get so cliché with the marriage track?

I mean it only makes sense... as we already know it from the previous season. They could have shown different reason for the same. I mean there could be hundreds of reasons for that... why opt for the same reason?

We can't really be totally sure about the reason just now.. lets wait and watch how it shapes up. How their date ends up.. how their thoughts change after the date...

I also feel that a stronger reason is required for them to get married and I think we will get to see that.
