that’s so true… she is in house only for Dhara not for shiva

now there are two ways to go from here..

typical ghisa pita ITV way

….where while caring for Dhara slowly slowly they forgive each other and confess their feelings without any proper revelation or realization…

or a little logical way

,.where they start with being cordial to each other given their predicament … but still nowhere near to resolve their differences… then Raavi start picking things and realize her mistakes … first uske bekaar dost.. then difference between ache kapde wala english speaking gawaar and real gentleman…her feelings stemming from love rather than adjustment / compromise

and shiva seeing Raavi’s selfless care for his family feeling guilty to hurt her and realize that she deserves an apology at least and truth given they are anyways parting ways..so him telling her everything but refusing to take back divorce…

and then Raavi actually realizing and putting efforts to make Shiva realize that she wants to stay in this relationship by choice not due to any mazboori…

Where did that concern disappear in this track? Anything to justify Gautam’s behavior😕

Looks like many are ok here with adults beating adults as they deserve it

I repeat, I am the only one calling out Gautam’s behavior against Shiva and Krish, everyone else seem to be enamored by the way he treats Dhara😕

Ewww, no way Prema akka!!! Just, nope!!!! What Gautam is doing is absolutely wrong.... I normally never participate in the EDT, only in the AU DT, and even that not as often as I would like to. And I really think that the lack of a lot of people participating in the EDT is why you feel that you're the only one with an issue with this, or atleast I hope that's why there hasn't been as much dissent against Gaumbi's actions as you or I expected.

And I think that Gaumbi was written in a way that he doesn't see differences in view amongst his family clearly. So he doesn't understand Shiva, or Krish at all when they react in a way that he hasn't taught them to. Raavi's reactions, even while making monumental mistakes, more often than not conforms to society, conforms with her upbringing and so is understandable to him (case in point, her slapping Shiva upon him questioning her character and refusing to live in pandya niwas, although her slap is physically abusive most of society would give her a free pass for it considering ut was a matter of her izzat, and this is a sad reality), while Shiva promoting divorce, or Krish's Z Gen thought procedure isn't a result of what the family has taught them, so he doesn't understand it. This seems to be a flaw in the way the very character is written. Especially considering how he normally supports Dhara in front of Suman, but didn't when she did something that was wrong in his opinion (he was against hiding the ghar ka batwaara kaand from Suman) he didn't stand strongly by her side...

I'll admit that his care and concern for his wife is admirable, but it doesn't negate the fact that he has failed as an elder brother, as a father figure to the children he helped bring up.

Just my opinions akka....

Prema sorry, i think my post didn't make much sense.. It was just for that particular instance; His concern with Shiva selling the land and how he wanted him to take his if he needed was what I was talking about... I have never approved of any of the violence shown in the show. I missed the danda track completely and have yet to watch the episodes from after the return of the haveli. I wasn't too pleased when he picked up the stick when he went to find Shiva, but I'm glad at least he had some sense to drop it, instead of using it.

I'm with you 100% in calling out Gautam's behaviour otherwise. I may not always voice it since I tend to miss the bulk of discussions unfortunately and then don't want to bring it back.

Sorry, but from what I have seen, Gautam doesn't seem fair to me anymore 🤷

I haven't watched them Aaliya not since they came back from the haveli... But I have read the LUs and it has left me disappointed.

I should have typed it up in more detail but as I replied to prema too it was only for that particular instance that i really liked his fairness towards both and the concern he had for Shiva. I know its going to be a disappointment for when I watch the current episodes as all the characters seem to have been shot down, hence why I just follow the LUs for now. I'm hoping there id a redemption for them all that will make it more bearable to watch this past month + episodes.

Every character needs a redemption track starting from Suman to Krish. It is one thing to have a verbal fight, which is common. What is with the hitting and the violence in this show. So what are they trying to prove, it happens in India and so it’s ok to show. Where do we draw the line? Why can’t they show something different?😕 Any kind of abuse is detrimental to a person’s mental health.

What’s with every fight happening in front of the outsiders? How do you expect the community to respect and treat you?

Will the writers like if their dirty laundry is aired in public? 😕 Just to increase the TRPs they will show any crap?

Exactly...100 percent true..

Physical abuse is a thing in ITV let alone pandya niwas..if its slap stories in other shows,in pandya niwas it is slap stories plus danda maar.

The origin of this physical abuse comes definitely from suman though..which is handed over to gombi and dhara.. the scene in janmashtami where she so coolly gave the danda to shiva and asked him to shut mami up by beating her..🤪..not to forget if he had done that hearing her, he would have ended up in jail..what did she think..mami would let go of that golden opportunity?.🤔. for some logical reasoning we can explain sumans behaviour as the cause of this kind of behaviour in goutham and dhara...dev shiva and Krish are considered as gadhas kids..so they havnt reached to that grown up stage that they start physically hitting each other for their betterment.. 🤪Though shiva does threaten krish for that..🤔

I have this complain to all the serials I think..this slap is a thing since time unknown to me....

PS.. funny..I dnt remember any scene where suman had literally beaten anyone?..did i miss it or suman have ways been just talks and no actions..and gombi and dhara are like no talks but too much action..🤪

Gombi beating up shiva like a dog is beyond any redemption Prema.... and by the look of it.. I dnt even think makers will show him regretting ..unless shiva goes thru some NDE where gombi suddenly realise how rude and irresponsible he was to especially shiva.

But all said..I do enjoy scenes like during janmashtami gombis smile when ravi grabs shivas hand while Swinging the jhoola..atleast he was not someone whose ego gets hurt like dhara who took the lehenga burning too personally when she clearly knows it was all a part of the collateral damage since suman and mami started the mess..I am not sure he will be ego free later on too..who knows..we can even get something as stupid as...ravi might forget to give dhara her late night milk..and gombi might suddenly loose it and throw her out himself 🤪.

I dnt trust the writers in terms of character sketch..they have nil intention to maintain a character sketch .so it's basically pointless to explain anyone's behavior in pandya niwas as reasonable.

PS.. gombi is comparatively partial to the ladies of the house than the gents.. what I see is something like..his live and care for...dhara>=suman>rishitha>ravi>=dev>krish>shiva

Suman and dhara seems to hold a confusing part in gombis life..he can never go against suman on her decisions..but he will run to save dhara even if suman had fallen right next to him when the bricks fell on them..

And regarding ravi and dev..he loves ravi like a kid...supports her even when dhara and suman is against her....but when it came to her marrg with dev, his love for devs safety became more important than ravis whole life being destroyed by trying to get dev married to her when he clearly didn't want to .

Based on their dialogues I would say everyone loved Shiva the most...as if he was the center of their existence..suman dhara gombi..everyone.. but their actions (except sumans...but I personally dnt like sumans way of loving him though) doesn't support it..

Suman slapped Shiva and Krish after Rishita reveals to her about the Kesar and Manjulika kaand,

Deeps, I don’t watch any other show in ITV but watch few in my regional TV. There is physical abuse there as well, a slap here and there but not to the extent I see in PS. It’s just appalling here.

Gaumbi is a coward amongst all the brothers. His boldness only came when he was fiercely protective about his brothers.

He was ready to let Dhara walk away!

He gave left-right and centre to Shiva. He allowed Dhara to beat Shiva.

This is what Gaumbi is! This family is insane when it comes to beating.

Some of the things they show are typical behaviours from many Tier 2-3 cities.

I wish they had chosen a more meaningful way to address such issues rather than laughing it off!
