So hold on! Agreed that English is not his first language and that, sometimes, people either translate phrases in their native language in their head or blurt out words or phrases they “think” have a certain meaning, based on what they think they mean.

During the mudslinging banter between Gaba and Neha, Gaba called Neha an “escapist,” implying that she’s a person who liked “escaping” unpleasant situations. Perhaps he meant she was a coward, a chicken, or even a weakling. Regardless of what overtook his thoughts, it certainly wasn’t the right choice of word.

Gaba, with his cocky imitation of the American dialect, was a total letdown during that conversation. He needs to be evicted soon! And now that he’s teamed up with Mother Holy2Shoes, only the Lord can save us!

Escapist: a person who seeks distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially in the form of entertainment or fantasy.

source: Google.

I’d argue that Gaba’s use of that word is appropriate.

An escapist is a person who has adventurous traits. Someone who tries to mask their miseries, worries and stress using mind-diversion tactics.

Habitual diversion of the mind to purely imaginatively activity or entertainment as an escape from reality or routine. ~ Merriam-Webster.

He said that when Neha started walking away from the argument - when she tried to ESCAPE the altercation / argument.

There is no connection between the definition of the word and what Neha was doing.

Ahh, then I stand corrected. All I remember is him saying Neha was an escapist, but you're definitely right then.

Escapist is someone who avoids unpleasant things by living in their own world. An escapist escapes from the difficulties. So maybe he meant that she escapes the confrontations and all after creating dramas. 😆 Joh bhi ho bhagna hi hai. 🤣
