Self respect...Tejo

Finally a female character spoke about self respect.

Most of the ITV serials show the cringe culture, family respect, etc etc...

Atleast Tejo spoke about self respect...

I really detest that Anupamaa who is still living with that toxic ex husband and family who humiliates her and treats like a dustbin at every chance.

Tejo is the only FL who didn't take *** from anyone.

Tejo as a character shined throught from the time she got to know till tomorrow…exactly thats what I wanted…her leaving with her head held high and thats what happened…she united two morons and left… «here you both cheaters deseeve each other» was all Tejos existence was screaming at that time..I loved her diaolouges that Fateh has got what he DESERVES.. not whats best for him…

He will realise his mistake…but it will be too late then…

I really liked how they made Tejo be very crystal clear to the family about Jasfa…she didn’t tone it down just because her own sister was involved…thats something that has been good about Tejos character all the way…galt ko uss hisaab se sazaa…tan koi relation nahi dekhna…

Honestly, This might be a VERY unpopular opinion to voice out here especially in a post which is stating she is different from all other ITV FL's and I know most of the forum love Tejo but I need to say this:

I actually began watching this show for Tejo but as I continued, I gradually began to see all the signs of the typical ITV sacrificial lamb and the entire reveal of JasFa was supposed to the turning point for her character yet sadly, they failed.

I understand that Tejo's entire purpose of life is to keep her family happy but this reveal should have been the moment where she broke all those stereotypes and took a stand for herself!

Instead, she went back to stay in the house of her cheating husband and disgusting sister. Why? Because his grandmother is gonna die without her being there? Her family wants her to fight for her rights? 🤪

I seriously felt like shaking her and telling her - Behen! Haven't you done ENOUGH for everyone? Your first marriage left you broke and shamed by entire society due to the stupidity of your own family! Your second marriage was done to save the reputation of both the families! You have spent every single day of your life just living and making other people happy and what have you gotten in return??

Aab tujhe jaake aur karna hai in logo ke liye? When are you going to live for yourself, woman!

This entire plot of getting her back into the house as Virk's daughter will end with FateJo again, I'm damn sure they will show her softening up later on towards that disgusting man who is shame on all mankind and that sadly, makes Tejo no different than any other ITV FL for me. 💔

I WISH and I WISH they had done something different with her.

Neither of these families deserve her.

You said it all. I thought the way she took stand for her was going to continue.

But I know all ITV shows disappoint us when it comes to FL portrayal.

I feel the producers cannot spend money showing parallel stories where the FL n ML are separated.

To bring in same drama they put all characters in one house.

Expecting something out of the box from ITV is my mistake 🙃 😅 😬

Just reading this. And I don't think this opinion is as unpopular as you think. To be very honest ITV has progressed beyond complete doormats. This is the era of Sherni who care about self respect but then is meek and selfless when it comes to serving her family. Tejo is just like every FL out there imo. I have written it again and again. I had expectations that post JasFa reveal she will leave the town but no she is aspiring to be Anupama pt.2 after all that show is no. 1 in terms of TRP and Udariyaan is now in top 5. Even if divorce is finalised and she doesn't take Fateh back, she will continue being mahaan by serving the Virks and Sandhus and to show her Sherni side will say 2 dialogues to Jasmine and Fateh about Fateh's eventual regret and Jasmine's true colours. The only good way they can take this track, if they genuinely want to empower Tejo and make her stand out is Tejo finds out the Virks are secretly planning to stop the divorce. She gives it back to them for their fake claim of calling her a daughter because would they want their daughter married to a man like Fateh and if they do please think about it. She then leaves their house and lives independently ever after. But will they show that and risk their position in top 5? Only time will tell.

I really cannot wrap my mind around this absurd concept of teaching Jasmine a lesson 🤪 Kyun hi karna hai? It's like trying to teach a serial killer not to kill after he has already left 100 dead bodies in his wake.

Wo nahi badalegi, na usse badalna hai, na wo apna lesson seekh legi.. wo karti hi rahegi aise puri zindagi baad even if Tejo drags her on national television to shame her.

It's an endless cycle and I'm surprised people want Tejo to enter this wretched cycle.

Maybe, Tejo and the audience will get their peace of mind by making Jasmine's life living hell as pay back but honestly, Tejo will NEVER EVER be able to get over or have closure that she deserves by staying connected to all these toxic people.

She has just decided to spend a considerable chunk of her life focusing on an extremely NEGATIVE emotion.

No one comes out untainted once you decide to retaliate to filth.
